My thoughts were confined to wanting to link up with players I believe I can read, regardless of the thread they wound up in. Bourbon has some setup thoughts. Not sure how much/many are fit for general consumption. He's more cards on table in that regard than I usually am. Except when I do a lot of baking.

I'm not sure how to feel about cabd right now. He's doing his code talking thing and I think I understand part of it, but in FGO I felt a little better about Cabd by this point but I also had you trusting him really early which also helped with that read, paranoid of early-mid day one aside. He feels similarish in the vein of he's positioning himself as a matter of importance in something central in the game, but I don't have the same warm fuzzies that I was getting in FGO even early on. I think as scum he would definitely be looking to integrate himself with the town, and I haven't seen anything that suggests actual town vs. integration?

What game are we ACTUALLY talking about here? I was the mod of FGO. Is this about antechamber? Regardless, I'll let ffery tell you of her findings and why they matter.

While I appreciate that "all the good players randed town yet again lel" is unlikely here, they have given me no real pings. I've gotten no "flashes of scumread" a la Bell in Antechamber, or cakez in Xenoblade. If I do, You'll be tired of hearing about it within the first fifteen minutes.

I have seated paranoia especially in light of this, where I feel like one of the players you would feel comfort in have potential to be scum. He has all the wording down, but where his towngame has him saying things in order to provide context, his scumgame is merely content. The way he acts in scum games is more pompous and know-it-all. The only thing I know is that I remember thinking that if Peta's SR on me wasn't RVS/a joke, he had a pretty big possibility of being scum for that ridiculous push.

last night i was feeling disappointed that all my takes seemed to be consensus but feeling a little spicier today.

bell's posts that got shellyc on his case pinged the hell out of me. i didn't mind his posts before and after that section, but for that reason i thought shellyc's reaction to them seemed totally reasonable. i don't understand where either of their levels of confidence is coming from at this stage (now that bell has made some better posts) but clearly they have history and i don't know either of them very well. i don't understand why if they have so much conviction neither of them seems very interested in convincing anyone else, but overall still found shelly to be town there

didn't like unwnd at first but their solving later on reads well. liking gypyx.

i'd caution everyone against assuming any particular scum configuration, let's just scumhunt please and like if one thread has 2 flipped scum later we can consider that a townie brownie for everyone else alive in that thread based on probability i guess

Oh I 10000% agree with the bolded. I thought people were clinging on too quickly to [redacted]'s idea and then they just started to roll with it due how weaker he was in general. I find that's a common tactic for scum to latch onto the ideas of those players because if it goes wrong they can inevitably blame them. Pooky pinged the shit out of me and then fucked off since, that would be my guess for over here. I think good players would choose 3-3 and then underdogs/people who cling to meta to be townread (cough cough shelly) would want to be in a thread with people who they could trick easily. I'm fine with believing it's 3-3 just so I don't get cocky.

Can you - even in like general terms - actually describe WHY you think what you think because not everyone here is so smart they can just understand what you’re talking about

it is early day 1. by your standards, no one but you and LLD has done anything in either game. your standards are, however, ridiculous.

honestly, this group of people does this a lot. they spend a lot of time talking about meta and it can feel slow. but honestly, like, they produce results in the end. it just takes a while. you're welcome to come back, id just rly like to get my footing without doing a lot of fighting bc my last few games have been miserable ragefests and i don't want to do that to my hydra partner. this is actually me doing more than i usually do, believe it or not (oh no self meta). half the time i just sit around and sass people for being dumb.

Noraa- I’ve talked about Noraa a lot yesterday. I still don’t like the things I brought up, I still don’t like the weak reaction to my pushing. In terms of the thread, she has a lot of strange interactions with Cakez. She gets off the wagon due to sheep votes and then ends up back on when most of the wagon is still sheep votes. Cakez is scumreading her and actively talking about her for most of the day, so much so that his “dying wish” is to eliminate her next, but his vote has been on BM for most of the day. He even was trying to convince me to vote her while he wasn’t, then proceeded to call me and her scum together.

im not particularly good at playing town. im aware of this fact though, and the result is that i often have lower confidence reads. having a hydra partner is helping me with this a little bit though
i dont really like conflict & toxicity, but i am sarcastic and that often pulls me into conflict which i can sometimes take personally, get toxic myself and have a bad time
i dont rly play with a strategy. im honestly mostly a gut player, but i try to put words to stuff because i know that that's what other people need to see. usually when i put forth a sincere case everyone else thinks it is dogshit, so i rarely bother
my primary skill as a town player is playing a support role. i am good at radiating town so i don't get misyeeted (unfortunately, i am also good at this as scum). as far as catching scum goes, i will put forth my opinions but i tend to be a follower and play support to bigger town names when they're hot. this game may be a little different since my hydra partner is a bigger town name.

Superbowl - You're scum reading a play style that you don't like. Calling yourself town all the time, insisting you're obtown isn't scummy it's just off-putting to people who don't like it. Play that you think is terrible isn't necessarily scum. Our job is to find scum not yeet people whose play style we find objectionable. For instance, if you're town I find it objectionable to be all like "I played smarmy to see who'd react to it" and I think it's a poor way to play town because you catch just as many town who think you're legitimately scummy as scum who find you an easy push, and it confuses the town which causes problems. I don't like it but I'm trying to read you beyond that, and that's something you should be doing to notscience as well. Dig deeper.

I guess I get nervous giving Tammy hoods because I know she's charismatic AF and LOVES pts as scum, so even though I'm leaning town on their slot atm I know they are a very dangerous player to give 'good conditions for pocketing' if I'm wrong

I guess I'm still struggling to think of best use of purple room as far as hoods go, I feel like there has to be some other mechanic for it (maybe purple roomed players can't be killed like in some of the MBOS variants?) and if we're using it as like a 'doc' more than a hood the I'd approach it differently

Unless you're paranoid of the fferybork hydra AND the Tammycho hydra simultaneously, a PT is the best possible outcome for them to confirm each other by day (well, night talking) play. And even then they can't really fool me too.
