Uh sure okay, I think murderkitty doubling down after just watching Anya get murderedededed in the face out of a potential T-T wagon setup prior to it makes scum murdercat unlikely to step up and do the exact same AND I think Shea's townread of him is probably correct but also very potentially informed pregame but I haven't really batcaved that to ffery yet so oh well, you asked.

You asked for off the cuff! If you want the receipts then yeah, you'll get those but not instantly. I'm mobile currently watching my sick almost two year old sleep in her crib between posts and occasionally running out to check on her pasta I'm making for when she wakes up.

You aren't exactly going to get the thesis here.

Our working theory was something akin to yuumi in league of legends. So like neighborizes who buffs that stats of whoever they are pair bonded to.

Fits the class in the game anyways.

Could also be like hider or something but yeah. Some sort of connection between two players with a stat boost.

When I got my own role the first thing I did is look at the wiki for our class and see how I would have made it into a mafia role.

So far for that one and all of the flips we got info for, my sense of game design has been close enough to unwnds.

In post 4826, Something_Smart wrote:@people who know flavor (i.e. morph): is SP a mechanic in the game? Is Farmer a class that does not use it?
Cabd probably won't be around until later tonight (if then). He thinks that if there are roles that don't have an SP-enabled ability, both sides will have them. I've asked him specifically about the Farmer class and will post his answer if he can't himself.

You asked about our read of you.

Mine is gut and my gut is waffling. One of the things that really set me off in the Guardians game was the way you approached me there, way more familiarly than in prior games where I initiated most of our interactions. You have not done that here, probably because of how I reacted there. And I've tried to just let the read come to me. The blank space in the game where our (fairly scant) interactions have been in pre-Guardians games is blank space because I'm not engaging you enough. So, I'm scumreading you for not interacting with me when 1) interacting with me had a high cost in the previous game and 2) I'm not making interaction happen either.

I don't feel like this is a strong enough reason to have a vote on you right now, but I'm not likely to change it without a sync.

One other thought from Cabd, he thinks there's a lackadaisical feel to the game design in terms of small details matching up. He feels like expecting consistency could be disappointing.

Well, we know that there is at least one (and likely two) town roles that do not have SP abilities-- but that's not the same as not having SP at all. Though, Bingle does raise a good point, though I really wish he had waited to raise it till NDMath showed up.

Regarding your read on me-- I think I've interacted with you about as much as I usually do in a large. My interactions with you in Guardians were a high for a number of reasons; aside from the obvious ones (smaller game, individual reads more relevant), there's also the fact that I have a hard time telling you and Cabd apart most of the time, so it's hard for me to reach out to you specifically.

I'm honestly not sure why I feel that differently about the two of you given that most of my experience with you has been with both of you together. Maybe it's because I've known you longer (you modded one of my first games on the site).
If you're town, then I guess we're even on the feeling different for hard to define reasons bit.

It's more about thinking MC and ND are town than thinking ircher is scum.

We're worried that none of the main wagons have been on scum today. The game just has that kind of feel to it, somehow.

Both of the "options" being presented are townreads and we will only hammer out of avoiding a no-elim.

Town should really not be doing damage of any sort at nights. Scum almost certainly have a way to protect themselves so all you're doing is denying wagon information and shortening the game by removing players early. You're also muddying track/watch/etc waters, heavily. *points at the STD corpse *

If we hand you murdercat and it's a town flipskies, until everyone in our little group of happy campers is dead, you go off the reads lists ffery and I posted, mmkay?

Do you think Scum me makes something up like this? Or if im not making this up do you think scum me reveals my night result?
Like I said, your initial reaction didn't trouble me too much. it was more of a "hmm" about the game design.

The way your activity dropped off later this game day does bug me though. I think you tend to feel uncomfortable as scum and don't post as much. I'm pretty sure, though, that my only experience with scum-you was in the Penultimate game. We haven't played together much. I've seen your play as a mod more than as a player, and there are inherent limits to that kind of meta for me.

This IS an anomaly, and regardless of my read on you the apparent contradiction needs to be reviewed when there's more data about us both.

I spent an unholy amount of time tunneling on a town dude and I’m confused why scum just didn’t barrel along with me. I thought the stagnation was because they were both scum. Now I’m starting to realize that I was either arguing with town a lot or scum that knew that MC was town and I’m not sure how I feel about that.
I thought some about Math in WH13. Your conviction about MC seemed similar.

I doubt MC's wagon is 100% town, so

Oh and for those of you who were not in tenet, a major part of my scum win was pushing the narrative that town couldn't have a non-macho IC, a watcher, a tracker, and a doctor all at once.

Spoiler alert: Cakez gave them all of that to counteract the extremely dangerous scum vanilla cop.

Pointless to have that discussion after the quick hammer though. I'm just a little miffed I didn't get to keep investigating that.
I'm trying to re-assure myself more than I actually think it was 100% nail-in-coffin damning.

We submitted a bodyguard ability on Artemis last night, and the mod failed to process this action. If things had gone exactly as locked in, we'd be dead flipped confirmed town right now, and Mara-timis would be screaming her cop result from the rooftops.

Instead, we have been told that the mod will explicitly confirm this error and that we have permission to make this post, and the game will proceed with that confirmation.

It's the best we can do :/

Bodyguard is our "super duper like maaaaybe twice in the whole game ability" that ironically mara stole SP from us and delayed the activation of by multiple phases. It was a VERY expensive one.

Except it fucking is when mafia probably has a factional night kill AND 5 hp worth of chip damage to dole out when players are averaging about that in HP count, if not under.

Our mantra for this game: reads > mechanics spec

I spent a chunk of Night 2/Stratum 4 rereading Tales of You, a game where, if town had worked a little harder to find each other and had been a whole lot more cautious in our mechanics spec, we might have won.

That scumteam though. In a lot of ways they were equal to or better than the Tenet scum team.

You got your desired elim. It flipped town. I want "lexi who hit town and resets and picks a new direction" mode at some point in the next 72ish hours.

Here are a list of 10 of the 16 people I think have scum equity. The others are cleared by role, play, or mechanic.

From here, we need to assume that we have at best 2 miseliminations remaining. At BEST.

so... I'm going to make a list of 6 names an a notable alternate at 7, that I believe, if killed in order, would win town the game without accidentally risking town losing the game (i.e, the list will be semi ordered in preference to avoid multiple dead townies in a row at any point to avoid parity+bonus kill issues)

4. White Fire (Shiro/Firebringer) catboi
8. Sigmund
13. WhemeStar
14. notscience
20. Thestatusquo
22. Farkran

Is the 7, and in order....

S_S
Farkan
Catboi
Wheme
Shea
Sigmund
NotScience

I think if you eliminate that 7 in order, you win the game. Flea probably town from D1 TVT. Dunn town for having a lot of mind meld moments with me, but I don't have much else there. Dwlee town because I feel like Dwlee tried to inject life into yesterday which apathy would have been a better scum move coming in as a replacement with the current things we know.

So this list, in order, kill them, town should win or be in a winning position to re-evaluate who is left.
One question for now, and answer at your leisure -- we're both shutting down.

2. Dunnstral - my strongest tokay based tr.
13. WhemeStar - mostly claimed.
10. Bell - Assuming still confident on Bell readability.
5. Lady Lambdadelta - claim largely irrelevant to townread.
8. Sigmund
23. Bingle Last
1. Morph the Cat (fferyllt/Cabd) Not Massclaiming.
I'm mostly here although given mech knowledge I feel like S_S role is pretty much assumed in the open, at least partially, so him going absolutely first is no big loss. Would personally go order of...

S_S --> Fark --> Sheaslot --> Flea -->Dwlee -->Notsci -->Chara (mostly because of tie to the LLD stuffsies)

Then

Dunn -->Wheme--->Bell-->LLD-->Sigmund-->You.

Our claim is obviously not going to be majorly needed, we haven't chipped at anyone and we've already claimed who visited us and when, and who we targeted each night, but not with what.

Would prefer first round be "Damage done per night, and character name" and then we evaluate moving on to round two from there. Getting character names locked in GREATLY shrinks the fake claim pool down to stuff that the character could conceivably have. And yeah, it's not perfect and scum can probably still true claim, but it's still a perimeter fence we can put up.

Massclaim format, part I:

Please use this template, it'll make life easier to string things together and track it all.

Player Name (Charater Class/ Role PM name)Night 0 attack: XYZ for 1 Damage
Night 1 attack: XYZ for 2 Damage
Night 2 Attack: No Damage Dealt

S_S --> Fark --> Shea's slot --> Flea -->Dwlee -->Notsci -->Chara -->Ircher -->Catboi --> Dunn -->Wheme --->Bell-->LLD-->Sigmund-->Bingle--> Morph

Don't need any data other than the name and night damage claims for now, in this round.

Your claim affects others, data wise.

Why are you asking this of us? Do you think this will help us read you better or something?

I am pleased to inform everyone that not science has been added to the "no fucking touching you jerkfaces" pool.

Notsci, be proud. If it was 3P with you and Bell crossed, we'd hammer Bell instantly levels of townread you have earned.

Don't need any data other than the name and night damage claims for now, in this round.

I refuse to sit around and wait forever to T3, will instead just assign the slot ALL MY SCORN and move on. The Fae one may go.

Going to try that nap thing again, if we could get more data when I wake up that'd be swell.

I genuinely don't get why people think maasclaim means they can't do other shit. Can you not walk and talk at the same time?

Notsci went so it's Chara. Notsci should format his stuff though at some point for ease of collection.

Flea I know it's a pain but please explicitly claim your role name don't just link the crumb.

i'm aware. i'm sure you're also aware that when A Thing is happening conversation tends to be about the thing. i can't singlehandedly make regular thread content happen, and afternoon Chara is far lazier than morning Chara.

pedit: kind of funny notsci had been decreed to go before me. :>

also fuck hold on.
Talk to me, then!

I'd rather T3 provide flavor nameclaim while waiting for the rest of his details now that he's here, but then yes, next is Dunn.

Please wait till the end, "missing" damage may have explanations that could tip off scum as to their other claims.
