i would 100% try to strongarm a captain position and get my teammates to vote me in tbh - unfortunately the way i want to push the game will reduce those reads but if MT were to ever flip scum we can be sure that there is at least 1 scum on the wagon - but i'm doubting it rn.

My answer: pack 3 of us into one team and put 1 in each of the other teams. The idea is to cover all basis. If each team is playing a game within themselves we have control over one game and a 20% chance of getting lim'd in each of the other 3. If it's a "Teams" competition (i.e. each team is "one entity" vs the others) not only are Scum guaranteed at least 3 of them live, but also have a traitor in each of the other teams.

I probably should stop giving Scum ideas, but that's what I think Scum are (or should be) doing

The Nora townslip thing. I dunno, it feels genuine. Some of the pressure on them about it feels less genuine, particularly Koba + Gamma. I don't know if scum would back each other up that hard though. I also don't like Gamma's 321. Gonna say Gamma is a scumread.

Loki's early interactions with Nora were okay but later posts ping me a little. Couldn't tell you why without going back through.

Still not sure I get the logic behind everyone voting MT and letting her pick the first group. Makes more sense to me for us to decide as a group what each captain should do. Then if someone deviates, idk if that'd be confscum per se, but it would certainly be highly suspicious. I guess that's not mutually exclusive with everyone voting MT, to be fair.

Okay, I was typing something out to explain why I thought spreading out would be better, but I think I changed my own mind? Tell me if my logic is shit.

I think there are two possibilities for what the game will be.

1) Each team eliminates one of their own.
2) We decide on an entire team to be eliminated.

Assume it's option 1. If one of the teams is all town, then we're guaranteed to lose a town. The other teams then have a chance to eliminate scum. If one of those other groups is all scum, then we're also guaranteeing scum gets eliminated, so basically trading town for scum. But the problem is, we can never know for sure if that team is all scum or not. So they get to be performative, and they get to strategically choose which one of them dies, rather than a typical mafia elimination where town have input. So sure, we've traded town for scum, but I'd argue we've put them in a better position for it.

Assume it's option 2. If one of the teams is all town, that team is unlikely to be chosen for elimination. If we have another team stacked with strong scumreads, then it's likely we're taking out multiple scum in one shot. This is the point where I realized the benefit of the "stack a scum team" strategy.

So basically, if we land on a team with all scum, then I think it maximizes the amount of scum we take out in whatever follows this team forming phase.

Of course, if ends up being a 3rd option, then idk what the fuck to do.

If a player is playing differently, or even to their scum meta, it may be worth investigating them. This is not justification for scumreading them, this is simply a filter to sift them through. Players who align with their town meta aren't always town, but by default they are both more likely to be town, and appear to be town. In contrast, players who align with their scum meta should be examined, as you will either clear them from being scum, or you will find them to be scum.

In short, meta is a map, not a compass. Meta won't tell you who the scum are, but instead where you might find them. It should not be used as justification for executioning a player.

generally I hate when people give me free town passes when I am town but rn I'm getting heavily SRed and honestly like honestly speaking, I am desperate for someone to correctly read me. I am desperate.

I always am paranoid as town about getting pocketed but rn I seriously do not know what to think bc I constantly am feeling like in a way, I have no choice but to assume the people TRing me aren't scum TMI-ing because I am so desperate for support that I cannot see and do not wish to see a world where I'm just getting absolutely manipulated by scum. I hate that my thought process is this self centered and survivalistic but I feel extremely trapped where I dont feel safe with the people TRing me but I also dont feel safe with the people SRing me. I feel like wherever I go, I'm vulnerable and I'm scared that I am making the wrong choice.

Even when I am universally TRed, I can end up going 100% the wrong direction. In the post you quoted from this game, I am not arguing that I am town. I am saying regardless of alignment, BLAH [insert argument]. In every post you found from final fantasy, I have been actively saying that scum me would do something else SO I AM TOWN.

Fl vs hectic was my first impression. The only reason I didn't bring it up is because Mason can skew gameplay as much as rolling scum does in a setup like that. So it's a pretty unreliable indicator of townplay from a meta standpoint.

That said ydrasse does feel loose and it's slight townpoints.
