What exactly has happened in the game so far? Team building and now parachute grabs? Over 100 pages of just talking about mechanics?
Is any of the game worth reading over?
The likelihood of me catching a parachute is abysmal. I'm not a keyboard warrior. I'd have to literally be posting something at the exact same time and catch it in a PEdit.-

Noraa has stated in the past that she intentionally town slips as scum. I have seen her do it twice, never seen it as town, but I've had more experience with scum Noraa. She is aware she does it though, so itIn post 2610, MathBlade wrote:

It appears reading is pointless. I saw in our Private chat something about parachute sabotaging, but don't know what that is about since no one in our chat has a parachute. Chat has Ydrasse labeled as lowest on the priority for a chute, which is my slot now, but the vibe I'm getting is every town reads each other in my chat too.-

I'm not entirely sure what I should be doing since it seems like the current event is just a free for all, and I'm not reading over 100 pages to try and figure out if anyone in this free for all is scummy.
I'm likely not getting a chute, so I assume I just party like it's 1999 and then enjoy the Y2K ground when it arrives.-

It was just mentioned off the cuff by MT, then koba started theorizing about it's use.In post 2913, Loki Dokie wrote:

This event reminds me of this joke...
Takes forever to get to the punchline.Every morning, the CEO of a large bank in Manhattan walks to the corner for a shoe shine. He sits in an armchair, examines the Wall Street Journal and the shoe shiner buffs his shoes to a mirror shine.
One morning the shoe shiner asks the CEO: "What do you think about the situation in the stock market?"
The man answered arrogantly, "Why are you so interested in that topic?"
The shoe guy replies, "I have millions in your bank," he says, "and I'm considering investing some of the money in the capital market."
"What's your name? " asked the executive.
John H. Smith was the reply.
The CEO arrives at the bank and asked the Manager of the Customer Department: Do we have a client named John H. Smith? "Certainly," answers the Customer Service Manager, "he is a high net worth customer with 12.6 million dollars in his account."
The executive comes out, approaches the shoe shiner, and says, "Mr. Smith, I would like to invite you next Monday to be the guest of honor at our board meeting and tell us the story of your life. I am sure we could learn something from your life's experience."
At the board meeting, the CEO introduces him to the board members.
We all know Mr. Smith, from the corner shoe shine stand, but Mr. Smith is also an esteemed customer. I invited him here to tell us the story of his life. I am sure we can learn from him.
Mr. Smith began his story.
"I came to this country fifty years ago as a young immigrant from Europe with an unpronounceable name. I got off the ship without a penny. The first thing I did was change my name to Smith. I was hungry and exhausted. I started wandering around looking for a job but to no avail. Fortunately, I found a coin on the sidewalk. I bought an apple. I had two options, eat the apple and quench my hunger or start a business. I sold the apple for 25 cents and bought two apples with the money. I also sold them and continued in business. When I started accumulating a few dollars, I was able to buy a set of used brushes and shoe polish and started polishing shoes.
I didn't spend a penny on entertainment or clothing, I just bought bread and some cheese to survive. I saved penny by penny and after a while, I bought a new set of shoe brushes and polishes in different shades and expanded my clientele. I lived like a monk and saved penny by penny.
After a while, I was able to buy an armchair so my clients could sit comfortably while I shined their shoes, and that brought me more clients. I did not spend a penny on the joys of life. I kept saving every cent.
A few years ago, when the previous shoe shiner on the corner decided to retire, I had already saved enough money to buy his shoeshine location at this great place.
Finally, 6 months ago, my sister, who was a prostitute in Chicago, passed away and left me 12.6 million dollars."-

I replaced into what appears to be the scummiest read slot in my hood, into a 110+ page game I have no intention of reading, and into an event I have zero chance of participating in while the bulk of the conversation seems to have been revolving around complaining about the event, practicing for the event, or fake gambitting to try and scum hunt during an event that doesn't have a lot of actual scum hunting going on.
Excuse me for not coming in blazing with the game winning solve.-

If there is scum in We're Trying, I personally think it might be MT. However, I haven't read anything and asked "We're Trying" to catch me up. I firmly believe koba and dwlee are town. MT is very quiet in the private topic though, so I don't have any read on them. I'm 100% just doing what dwlee and job say, and trust them since A) dwlee did NOT have to save me yesterday, and B) they have had the biggest influence on everything I've taken in since repping in.-

Koba feels town. In the private topic, they are very passionate about what our team is doing. They felt very concerned that the game was going to to be Norwee vs Koba during the night. The fact that the results look very disjointed with that passion feels more town indicative.
Morning Tweet feels mostly disconnected with the team chat, and I'm not sure if they are just not interested (the last event seems to have killed interest from what I can tell), or they just aren't talkative.
I don't strongly read anyone as scum because in all honesty, the whole parachute phase just felt like RVS to me.-

Considering dwlee caught all of our chutes, I can't see them as scum with koba asking NOT to be saved and me accepting that I would be the past person to get a chute on the team.
Koba asking not to get a chute could maybe have been a gamble knowing dwlee would have gotten a chute for them regardless, but it doesn't make much sense.
The people you want to be looking for as scum are those who abide to the status quo, maybe making a few pushes that aren't likely to get traction, but ultimately move with the tide, and occasionally influencing the tide if the town leaders trust them enough for their opinions.-

There isn't a real tide yet from what I'm picking up from the game. Event 1 was picking teams, Event 2 was saving yourself.
Event 3 is the first game that appears to be something where a majority consensus matters, but had to be done in groups of 4 or 5., So no real tide to follow. If scum knew none of the names being tossed around included them, or if there were more names for town players being tossed around, they probably just go with the status quo.-

Above the line are people I think are probably town, listed in order of confidence. Below the line I really don't know, and I'm shamelessly labeling the last 4 or so in that order based on my town reads reads.-

The issue I see there is that my PT piled on Norwee because we figured Loki's PT would as well. Loki in fact did vote Norwee, so scum knew Norwee's name was being tossed around. I wasn't really present for whatever mind meld koba and Loki had, but it should be inferred that if Loki was willing to vote Norwee, he assumed others would and therefore his PT might assume that us over in Trying we're possibly on board as well.-

Koba assumed it was going to be themselves that were attacked during the night. To that end, the reason Norwee was picked was because koba assumed Loki's team would also be voting Norwee, so that was where we in We're Trying were to put our votes. There was no discussion of any other players really.-

A50 is town solely for picking me as a dance partner before any other picks happened. I wasn't a wide town read outside of my team, and even then I was probably low town read with in them. Scum doesn't pick a slot with high elimination equity out the gate for the event. It doesn't make sense. In post 4288, Loki Dokie wrote:You mean A50 obviously and are you not going to give any explanation for that?
