In an online forum I can never tell when someone is being sarcastic. This vote will stand as a reminder to that!

I agree having it go so far to a lynch is bad however pressure is always good. I do not think enough people would back it to go to a lynch.Azhrei wrote:
He's not the only one who's done that, you know. Sentata did, just a couple of posts after him. I feel that lynching someone for that would be a tad over the top, unless they gave us additional reason when pressure was applied.DrippingGoofball wrote:

Pressure is not a bad thing, so a quick answer would be yes pressure is always good. However sometimes the person under pressure can snap and town or scum just ruin the game or say something that would get them lynched as town or scum. Too much pressure can be bad in some situations. This is in my limited experience of course and my personal opinion.Sipylus wrote:Is pressure an anyone *always* good in your opinion Raider?-

Ummm yeah..not so much.Santos wrote:@raider, the baby doesn't need food. It needs cocaine!!!! :p
The MK case seems is being pushed hard but is seems like it is just being rushed into because we have deadlines. Even though their are deadlines it does not mean everyone needs to focus on just that one person.
I too would like it sumed up as I did not see anything lynch worthy in my reread but as I have 10 minutes here and there to read I may have missed something.
Or is the whole case just meant to kill the 3 people so everyone does not need to wait and figure out if DGB is going to replace or mod?-

You forget me, however I do not concider myself lurking so much as I just get sidetracked. I hate day one as there is not much information to concider and I am horrible at trying to pick out scum from just that. I like looking at voting patterns and figure out things by peoples actions and not just words.sirdanilot wrote:We seem to have at least 4 lurkers, pear bear, santos, alvinz and septia. Don't shoot me if I forgot one.
In my opinion, you cannot classify the latter two as actively lurking anymore since they haven't posted in a while. If they pop in with another useless post then yes I could see how they are actively lurking together with pear bear and santos.
Lurker lynches, however, are mostly useless and bad town play. The only exception I make to this is Santos, for the reasons I posted (in short: not willing to discuss, but willing to hammer).
The only thing we can do to conventional lurkers (who just don't post) is to request for them to be replaced out. The only thing we can do with active, but otherwise not scummy lurkers is to FoS them and request them to post. We can only lynch them if nobody has a suspect, which will not happen. But of course there are other ways, most of which will stop working if I reveal them (but are probably obvious enough for the more experienced players). The only thing we can do with active, scummy lurkers is to lynch them. In fact, I would recommend doing so.
Right now the case on MK seems weak however by weak I mean MK has said a bunch of little things that is quickly adding up. Joking around is ok at any point in the game as it is still a game but if the joking around is all the person does then it is another story. As it stands I am ok with an MK lynch.
Lynching lurkers for the sake of lynching lurkers would make this a quick game. There are always going to be lurkers but its the ones that get replaced are the ones I really dislike. To get replaced takes a while on top of the time it takes for the mod to realize someone needs to be replaced. In this game that could be the span of the entire day. Just something to be aware about for the time being.-

I never read it that way but it does make sense. I would like a response from him before I add my vote.DrippingGoofball wrote:

Admits to lurking but calls it 'semi' lurking. Says he doesn't have much to add, but waits by the sidelines for discussions to 'work themselves out' without input from him, whatever he means by 'discussions working themselves out.'
However, this wimp who has, by his own admission, little to say, is willing to hammer.
ANYBODY.
He's waiting for the discussion to work itself out, ie,get to lynch minus one. Right? That's the gist of it.
And when we're at lynch minus one, whoever is being lynched, he's willing to hammer. It doesn't matter who. As long as it's not him.
He's just Mr. Silent-Semilurker-Hammer. When we need a hammer, he'll be there. But not for anything else. For anything but the hammer, count him out. He just doesn't have much to say.
I'm sorry folks but this is scum all the way.

It not always a scum tell as townies do it as well however he response to it means a lot. It is lynch worth on a first day as I think we will get ride of an unproductive member and set a precedence for all lurkers. Granted after the first day I tend to post more as I have more to go off from and the votes are something I can start looking into.Microphone_Kirby wrote:Ditto. Yes, I switched to the Santos wagon after aggressively pursuing an alternate lynch. Yes, my vote was late on the wagon. I don't deny these facts, thats just how things went down. What else is there?
And for those of you who seem to be intimating that I am literally calling every single person I named scum, I know you're all smarter than that. No there aren't 11 scum in this game, those are the people I'm suspicious of. You can safely add sirdanilot to the list.
My parting wish is for riceballtail to get nk'd tonight or lynched tomorrow. He's scum. If anyone has the brass to help me lynch him today say so and I'm all over it.-

While I agree that the bandwagon went extremely fast I saw no reason to join it so quickly. I would rather have waited a little longer as the deadline was still far away. He did give up and I have never seen him play that way. It was a sign something was wrong but in this case most people simply guessed wrong at the signs. I dont hold everybody responsible for it but I am sure there were scum on the wagon just not sure who yet.Slicey wrote:Yes, lets wait around 10 more days until we lynch Flameaxe. The last 2 days have gone way too fast. The person lynched gave up without any real attempt at defending themselves. Hard to get much from the bandwagon based off of that.
Never had a scum nightkill and no dead townies before. Yet there has continually been only one night kill. Dont really see how the scum could be doing the killing as they took out on of their own. Maybe 2 scum groups? Bunch of really lucky doctors or something?-

That is what I most dislike about them. They were quick lynches but justified ones, town or scum could have hide in the bandwagons and the information we can get out of normal bandwagons just are not there.Setanta wrote:Agreed with the first point, however both bandwagons were fairly justified though and when someone refuses to claim you generally assume scum.
If it was not for the nightkill of a scum we would be in a bad position but we are down 2 scum and 6 town. I guess that is on par but it still doesnt sit right.-

I really dont like this, the last 2 bandwagons were fast and you think that this one would not be just as fast? Plus if someone was to not check the forum for a day it could be too late and they would not have the time to stop the quick lynch.hp [leaves] wrote:Did you feel a bandwagon of that speed starting? Why the paranoia? Trying to push scummate out of the way of bandwagon?
Also not sure how I feel about Pear Bear needing to be replaced. It puts his bandwagon on hold until a replacement can be found and even then the questions would not be able to be answered. Plus as we are on a time crunch if could cause problems with that.-
