my play is not broken, in my opinion. I like to feign ignorance when I have a lot of information (when I'm scum). As you can tell, I am not feigning ignorance whatsoever right now. You can ask me my opinion about anyone or anything. I am open to everything and closed off to nothing. I am the wind behind your ears, the soft sun on your face, and the wonder as you gaze up at the stars.-

ani, if you think that game hurts me, you're wrong.
I replaced into a game with 90 pages already done, and the mod told me I didn't have to read them. I ended up reading in lylo for probably 10 hours worth of time, believe it or not, and decided that stalking semioldguy was the best way to win as town. Guess what? It would have been. I had the game won for us, you and kunk lost it. Check out Kunkstar7's record as town. I'd be really interested in knowing YOURS too.
You know the difference between you and I, ani? You are a terrible player who deserves to die due to policy that pushes policy lynches on people who are obvtown which is scummy play. I am a terrible player who does not push policy lynches whatsoever who tries to scumhunt through feel of the game, which leads me to having wonderful night actions when haters like yourself and kunkstar7 don't want to have a policy lynch in lylo like idiots. The proper play that game would have been to have a no lynch and to let me carry out my kill on THE LAST SCUM.
By referencing that game, you do not hurt me in the slightest. Get over it.-

I would like to also instigate a three-paragraph policy. Benefits of this are: reduced spamming, town cohesion, and it helps scumhunting.
Reducing spamming is like cleaning up a cluttered room. It is easier to hide things in a cluttered room than a room that is clean. Therefore, it is easier for scum to hide in a disorganized, chaotic, and spammy environment. This will lead to the town working together.
Town Cohesion will come through people waking up and performing as a collective as opposed to subjective. WE should pressure together, tunnel together, FoS together, and lynch together. I want not one to be held accountable, but all. This will root out scum if we do it, mark my words.
By doing this, and having each others backs, the environment will not bode well for scum. By hurting scum, playing correctly through reducing spam and being a cohesive unit, we will be helping ourselves.-

Vezokpiraka is like 98% likely to be scum in my mind. You ask, why 98%? Because I don't lie if I don't have to. I don't KNOW he's scum. I'm not a day-time DT/Cop. The mod didn't TELL me who's scum. I'm suspicious.
There is a difference in being suspicious of someone and following your heart to catch scum, and having the actual knowledge of someone being scum. I have no brain on his scum, but I have heart on it.
Weird word choice? You betcha.
@Vezokpiraka, I had replaced into a terrible situation, and I do not count that game whatsoever. If anything, that game helps me this game. I will answer ANY question this game, whereas that game I was being an unhelpful twit.-

@SocioPath, explain how that post doesnt make sense. now. And not your questionnaire to me, you saying "this post doesn't make sense". By disagreeing with a way to catch scum being a unit, you act like scum.

I am not scum this game, and it's funny how I found out my role at all (talk to the mod) I'm on the side of the uninformed majority.
I haven't even really looked over the player list, as I have no reason to, as I'm not sure of who is what other than locke lamora/yourself/vezokpiraka are a likely scum team in my mind at this point (though it's too early to tell possibly)
Who would I kill at night 1? let me look at the player list.

This is an insult phrased as a question. If Locke Lamora and Vezokpiraka were pots in poker, I would go all in on Locke being scum, and would have a lock on the hand. With vezokpiraka, I would leave a chip behind on my cards, hoping they didn't notice, so I would still have a chip, a chair, and a chance.Friend wrote:Furc, why locke lamora? Is he more than 98% scum?
@Socrates: Why am I more scummy than the other players "riding shotgun" on the Furc PL wagon (who've actually placed votes down)?
Yes. That is why I am not voting, and also why I'm not voting animorpher. Animorpher, however, may be acting nice because he is scum and is nervous.SocioPath wrote:

I actually do not have a main that is better behaved, and I would say that my tone and word choice are not affectations. I had to look up that word. I like it. My play, however, is an affectation. I "play the fool". Good call.Iecerint wrote:@ Furco -- It is my personal interpretation that your unusual style is an affectation, and that you have a main account elsewhere that is better-behaved. Also, even if that's not the case, the flagrancy of those 2 posts after Friend's question look like answer-by-example to me.
I actually have a very good sense of who is scum based on the reactions that I have had so far. Some of the people who are "sitting on the fence" with my play = town. Most of the people who are like the third, fourth, and fifth people to attack me will generally be scum. I use what I've done more than people expect.
I'll give an example: I'll post a list using an RNG. They don't see the reason for me doing things such as trying to lynch using an RNG. They say "using an RNG is scummy, you cannot lynch with an RNG." My reason for doing it isn't under the delusion of actually being able to lynch someone with it, but to gather information based upon how people react to it.-

I'm also not saying "i am not be scum this game", because that is pointless. You all don't know whether or not I am scum. I can try to convince you all through my play, but that has been failing so far.
Would you all rather me 1) stop taking the spotlight as a town, and potentially get mislynched through not defending myself as actively?
2) continue taking the spotlight, and posting like I am?-

in relation to ani/sebguer: ani has a brain, at least. What I mean to say is, at least ani thinks for himself.
@plum, pardon you not liking my play so far, and I'm not familiar with "disingenuous". dis- usually implies negative connotations, and ingenious is definitely what I am, as I have a very high I.Q.
I'm assuming you're saying that if I'm town my mental capability is in question, and I take offense to that. I appreciate you saying that I have strong ability, or at least implying it.
@Friend, you are admitting to what? Being scum? Oh.-

It probably was me. I got a 29 on it.
I know that isn't amazing, but it is definitely high enough to not warrant an attack on my intelligence.
If that's how you meant the word, touche. I am all ears as to what would be a good option for the town this game, and wish you would have provided one when you were highlighting that aspect of how you meant the word in relation to my play.-

Pressuring people as a collective, not focusing on little town fights like people have been doing. Let's take turns picking someone to pressure.Plum wrote:My suggestion, as I think my original statements implied, included not throwing out WIFOM-generating statements such as 'I've never been lynched as scum' at the Town; it's generally distracting and confusing, more than enough to outweigh any reactions you think you're going to get out of it. Also good options for Town would probably include not wasting time getting people talking about a three-paragraph policy.
Incidentally, you never answered my question re: that policy:

I'm voting locke lamora, and for the sake of not being even more wishy washy than I have been and flip flopping on who I'm voting, I'm going to keep it there. Also because I am pretty lazy. It doesn't matter who we pressure after me, just as long as the town doesn't mislynch me this time. I know that is not good for us.Friend wrote:Who would you like to pressure, Furcolow?
I believe streamlined discussion like Furcolow is suggesting is ineffective; mafia doesn't boil down to a formula where you can pressure people one at a time.-

Bullshit. I am amazing in LyLo. It is idiots like Animorpher/Kunkstar7 that prevent me from winning. If I had been alive with VP Baltar and Ellibereth we would have fucking won, you can bet your money on that. I don't know, though, I completely fooled Ellibereth in lylo in a marathon game one time. Ask him about it.Furcolow: is naturally a very scummy player. At the moment I don't find him particularly anti-town, but I think he's dangerous in LyLo. If this same attitude continues to a future day and we haven't found much scum yet, I think he'd make a good Vig kill, just to be safe. But I don't think he's the right D1 lynch. In addition, I don't think pressuring Furcolow is several votes will work to force a scumslip, as he rarely needs pressure to seem scummy-

However, I'm assuming that by you using the word "speculation" in connotation with beefster's post, that you are not certain of anyone yet. Where this is a Holy War between Demons and Forces of Light and Everything Good, zwetch has to either be a) extremely bad, or b) extremely good. Like a being heaven-sent, or b being the most unholy of holy orders.-

You agreed with me when I said BS wasn't intentionally a crap player, so the question is whether he is scummy by accident. But it isn't an accident because he does it (?????).
So...are you basically saying "BS is VI"?
Also, I think we talked past one another on the first part -- I thought you were asking whether I thought BS was a player like Furco who deliberately plays with a scummy style.
I can see where you're coming from in the paragraph about Friend, though.
c) their teammates
d) investigative roles ...poor millers... all those poor millers that have died due to investigations... makes me want to cry

I'm wondering if that has to do with the realization that contemplating things you can't possibly know, but I don't think it was. It might have to do with you talking about smoke being negative and put out by the hidden demon, and light being put out by the person who is good and on our side (I hope one of them is). I was really hoping that he would put light on my policy post of zwessenschwesser. I didn't get smoke on that post, though, whereas a lot of posts that have been about policy lynches have.-
