I hadn't planned on posting this tonight since I'm busy with essays and what not, but all this LOLOL WE QUICKLYNCH LULZ is pissing me off.

Will be making a post tomorrow why continual quick-lynching this early on is scummy.

Short summary of the case is that the SCUM SERAPHS need more faith EARLY ON in order to UNITE THE SCUM TEAMS if the setup is like in MOHO, whereas the TOWN SERAPHS NEED TOWN READS TO GIVE PRS TO.

Quick lynching gives an early faith boost, which, going by the setup of the last game, benefits scum more so, and also robs the town-seraphs the ability to gain any reads, which scum seraphs do not need.

p.s. Gah probably not the most well organized post in terms of my thoughts, but I hope the message gets across.

I disagree. Because of how the Faith is distributed, it's optimal to give the Seraphs more faith in the beginning when we can afford to make a mistake. Plus, it really told us a lot about who was online posting, as far as potential scumz needing to send in a kill at that time. The QL was highly town-motivated in my opinion.

How exactly did you read Andrius as genuine town pushing the QL?

Why is it optimal to focus on giving seraphs faith rather than actually playing?

Firstly, in order for the Light Seraphs to give out the roles, they need to have certain town-reads to begin with. Without the town reads, it is very hard for the Light Seraphs to give out roles.

Secondly, take a look at MOHO. I outlined this point already in my last post. Probably with the above as well.

My point is that, essentially the light seraphs do not need the mana rush early on as much as the dark seraphs do. Hence it would be in the scum's interest to get more mana asap, where as that is not the town's priority.

You seem to be fixtuated on the fact that only town-seraphs gain faith. Which is scumtastic and allows you that nice white-knight stance of WE MUST GET THE TOWN SERAPH AS MUCH FAITH AS POSSIBLE LETTING FAITH RUN DOWN IS NOT PRO-TOWN, when it is infact not anywhere close to the truth.

I had planned on retiring after Blackest Night, but then a plethora of interesting/pre-in'ed games came out.

Basically, I no longer have the time to dedicate to mafia, and I think my play over the last two weeks sitewide has deteriorated to the point that I'm not actually

anymore. I mean, finding scum is one thing. Building up cred and convincing other people of your reads is the main goal to forum mafia.

But you see, when town and SK won, both were dead. Since they were the most recent alive, they win.

Whereas in a 1v1 SK/Mafia scenario, town is already out of the picture.
