4) The way the rules are worded makes it seems like Town vs. Scum with a side game separate from everything else, aka Third Party. If these third partiers are not a threat to the town, they have no reason not to make themselves known then go about their business. That would clear X number of people from being a threat to the town and thus we could go on and have many less players to hunt through.

First off, since RVS is apparently over, I think the jokes about being scum need to stop. At the best it is an unnecessary distraction from scumhunting, and at the worst it is anti-town.

He just showed up, didn't comment on anything directed at me, and put down a vote on me. The problem here is that without any words, he could backtrack ("Oh, that was for a reaction!") or he could just go with what other people were saying ("Yeah, I liked the cases against Reck so far").

Nope. This one's pretty obvious if you think about it. For an attack like this to scale with the game it'd have to adjust with the number of players, or you'd be able to auto-lynch people eventually. It takes 16 votes to lynch, and the ninja attack adds (16/2) votes? Doesn't seem like a coincidence to me. The vote-reset was probably just to avoid an accidental hammer.

I just checked, and "hunter" is an alias for "lyncher" according to the wiki, so I'm guessing they were part of that whole minigame thing going on in the background. Since GreyICE never posted, I suspect he failed to meet some objective in time (midnight?) and that was the cause of his death. Dramonic did post and it was a vote on C-Worl. My guess from that is C-Worl might be the lynch target of one or more participants in the mini-game.

Hmm, I could see this making sense… but you've spent two posts so far largely talking about just the minigame. How about some actual scumhunting?

Oooooh nice catch. So they were, in fact, third party. Meaning the speculation that they were a part of the minigame seems even more accurate now.

Well, if the Paranoid Gun Owner can actually block attacks as well as counter attack, then yes, it would be fine if they outed themself, but that seems unlikely to me. Also, it is very useful that the attack value is updated to be half at any given moment, that makes it much less exploitable. What I'd like to know next is if the event was random, neutral aligned, scum aligned, or town aligned. It would be great of course, if we knew Vezo's alignment, but that is no confirmation either way. If the mini-game is lyncher based, then the ninja attack could be part of that as well...
If I'm right in assuming that this whole "hunter" thing is part of the minigame, then even if our goals are unrelated (yes, I'm implicitly claiming not-mini-aligned here) the mini-game does still effect the main game, in the form of vote manipulation and/or accidental kills. This means that information revealed about the mini could be useful to those of us involved in the game proper. If you have information on the mini, and any reason to be sympathetic to the town, share what you know.

This post strikes me as ten kinds of wrong. You've now spent EVERY post today speculating on the minigame and third-party-hunting instead of scumhunting. That, my friend, is a big no no, and you've now warranted my vote for the following:

Rather than hunting for scum, he has spent the entirety of the game hunting for third party/speculating on third party mechanics. This, in turn, allows him to neglect commenting on any actual pertinent issues, and he can basically actively lurk with setup speculation/third party hunting.

So he's either scum, or third party who is hunting for other third parties out there if we're to believe his HUNTERS ARE LYNCHERS thing is accurate. Why are you so obsessed with not figuring out what is going on here? This is clearly not a normal game with normal rules, and playing it like it is will lead to serious problems for the town. In both SEM games I've been in, the mechanics have had a huge impact on how the game was played.

I feel like I need to explain something to you guys.

Psychic Mafia: I rush-lynched scum D1 & D2 and called out the N1 vig shot. D1 lasted ~24 hours, D2 lasted less than 12 hours.

Elements Mafia: The whole game lasted two weeks, including the nights. D1, D2, and D3 were all scum lynches, once again lead by me.

Fates Mafia: The entire game lasted less than two real life days. I lead a lynch on mafia lovers D1, the vig shot my 2nd highest suspect N1, and I investigated the final scum N1 and got him lynched D2.

Caffwagon Invitational: Not quite as quick, but the whole game lasted three days, and was over in a month (scum lynched each day). That's a week per day, if you discount night phases.

Just a few examples of games where I've done well, and they also just so happened to be the quickest games. I thrive in fast-paced environments as town. This is how I play, and there are players here who can back that up (or, just look at the evidence listed above). So no, it's not "scummy" for me to want a fast day.

I would put him as more likely third party than more likely scum, but he's a fine lynch either way.
