Yep. The difference is I'm confident I can recollect this game because the mechanics aren't as time sensitive. I only regret not doing this sooner, and I apologize for failing as a back up mod. I think I'll just stick to reviewing if future Mind Screws occur.

And, yeah. When I first came in, I saw doc tells from shaft.ed. On 8/9/11, more specifically, which is when I was first beginning my read. (Three days after I replaced in, on 8/6/11. So, yeah.) It jumped into my mind immediately. It wasn't, however, strong enough to risk a kill on. And, heck, still might not be.

I've long-since forgotten what my original slight doctor tell was, but he's making it really effing obvious in-thread right now.
(I'm not discounting the possibility he is intentionally setting himself up as a Red Herring, though. I'm paranoid as scum that way. )

I realize that attacking your one and only defender is pretty much asking for execution, but it's something I've consistently used as a town-tell, for exactly that reason--what scum is idiotic enough to go for a move which is just that...dumb?!?

(It'll either reinforce the idea "Mastin's so obv-scum it hurts" or re-introduce the idea of, "Mastin's just being too dang STUPID to be scum." This is especially potent when one realizes I double-bussed HARD from the moment I entered the game in Mafia on Werewolf Island to make myself look better, look competent. Demonstrating the opposite might just be what I need...)
And, yeah. I'm aware I've been prodded, and should log in.


But you know how I have a twisted way of devoting myself to games?

Among my tricks is intentionally site-wide lurking by not logging into mastin2 (though logging into a Hydra whose posts are harder to track is a different story ), because I'm scum in a single game which I'd prefer not to log in as. So, I'll post elsewhere, while typing up exactly what I need to do. (In this case, I need to explain my reads a little more logically. Well, Mastin Logically, anyway. )

Pull an all-nighter if I have to. (Nothing important on Tuesday that I can remember, so worth it.) If I fell asleep without working and without logging in, I very well might pass the threshold and find myself accidentally replaced.


It's therefore vital for me to finish. I have a lot to work to do.


But needless to say, I'm playing for fun. I've only got one living player completely fooled. (Regfan.) Everyone else is at the very least minorly suspicious of me, if not far more so. Live as long as I can, have as much fun as I can.

Since playing to win is pretty much impossible. Not that I've given up, mind you. The town did moronically mislynch yesterday, and town-Mastin is going to be TICKED. OFF. (Which I can fake very well, mind you.)

But still, even with that mislynch, know how many more I have to get before I can win?

that was a terrible mod decision too IMO but reck shouldn't have posted after death.

There was a bit more to it, actually. Basically, it was going to be an Official Warning, but because of Rules Infractions, that ALSO gave SDC an Official Warning. So Tar was backed into a corner by his own rules. The mod team kind of supported it on those grounds, but urged Tar to calm down.

Mod Notes: Actually Lain Iwakura (from Serial Experiments Lain), Townie Dreaming God. Has a modified form of the Dreams of Reality ability. At the beginning of each game night, the Moderator will generate a random number between 1 and 10 using random.org and activate the Dream of Reality corresponding to the number generated: 1) There will be two lynches during the next game day; 2: Each player may use up to two activated abilities and each faction may use each factional ability up to two times during the next game cycle; 3: The next game day will have a nonretractable deadline of 5 real-life days; 4: During the next game day, players can't be replaced and inactive players will die at the end of the day; 5) During the next game day, players cannot quote posts; 6) During the next game day, lynch results in the player with the most FoS'es dying instead of the player with the most votes. 7) At the end of the next game cycle, the player with fewest posts dies; 8) The next game day will have a nonretractable deadline of two weeks; 9) The next game cycle is skipped entirely; 10) During the next game day, No Lynch will occur at deadline. The number Lain learns corresponds to the Dream of Reality randomly selected in this way, with 0 corresponding to 10. All Dreams except 3 and 7 interact with Time Dilation.
