Neo: What I have always done is post a vote count before the axe drops. This gives a chance for any discrepancy to be dealt with before anything undoable happens.
I don't know that the unvote thing is neccesary. I have always considered a new

valid

vote to include an Unvote of the prior vote. As long as you don't have two votes from someone I don't see an issue.
And when I say valid I mean if it's not a valid vote I completely ignore it.

But I think the latter solution (making Cad a townie) is a good one.

I think the more likely situation here is that some of Arminger's fellow gang members voted for him. I HIGHLY doubt any of them, especially anyone with Mole's experience, would stick their necks out in such a manner.

In case anyone's interested I investigated Saberkitty to verify that role.
Then the night I was killed I flipped a coin (between Mith and Mole) and found Mole to be innocent. Not that it helped me.
