n00b is, IMO, over-reacting (and Kuribo's salty language is hardly personal), but Kuribo, have to say, if this is your playstyle that doesn't get you lynched as town, it's because the scum are trying to keep your garbage ass alive so you can smokescreen them in endgame.

I think the biggest mistake was that none of the targets were coordinated whatsoever so we got huge clumps of targets on one or two people and nothing could be derived from it.

it's pretty telling that you were the most vocal opponent of my cross-protect plan and that you were scum

In Quack mafia, as I said (because as I also said I've played it before), you're supposed to cross-protect, figure out your sanities as quickly as possible, and then figure out who had to be lying.

Odds / Evens.

For example, if you did Odds / Evens with the list that's in the role assignments doc, then on N1, 1 and 2 cross protect, 3 and 4 cross, etc etc

So N1:

Kublai and Paranoid daycop survive (Kublai roleblocks Paranoid)
drshotgun and maruchan survive (shotgun roleblocks maru)
manho kills bunnylover
trojan kills mattP (1 scum down)
me and Zdenek both survive (Zdenek roleblocks me)
Wraith and Sean both survive (Sean protects Wraith)
myko and mneme both survive unless NK'd (both naive)
mafia-n00b and kdowns survive
BK201 kills Nobody Special

Day 2, Wraith would have been last scum standing

Hey MoS.. Is kuribo right? Was pairing off the proper strategy from the beginning?

Any comments on the game?

I haven't run the numbers, but that's how I probably would have tried to set it up. I'm not sure I would have directly paired off 1 on 1 (too many N1 deaths from town roles that way), but maybe groups of 4 with pairs of two targeting the same person. That might have helped narrow things down.

The funny thing is, people keep saying, "Oh, it only works if everyone does it."

The thing to remember about breaking strategies is that scum have more to fear from them than anyone else.
