Right now my gut reaction is that the votes piled onto both RBT far too quickly for him to be scum, unless some bus-voting was going down. With 28 players we're looking at what, 6-7 scum, for ~1:4 mafia to total ratio? At the height of the RBT lynch, there were 10 votes on him/her.

. I am thinking there would be a little more resistance if RBT were scum. Also, how does your guys' idea of trying to get somebody lynched within 30 minutes help the town? Like... at all? If you pick a townie to lynch then you've just lost potential days worth of discussion while simultaneously all looking like scum bags.

The Elmo case is a little more convincing. I don't see anything wrong with him expressing concern about an accidental hammer, though his "screw it" vote and some of his other posts are a little more scummy and worrisome.

Anyhow, the first post is only for the purposes of bandwagoning. In RVS, I find the easiest way to form opinions is to watch how people react to an early bandwagon. In this case, Elmo's reaction is, to me at least, the scummiest. In that post, he demonstrates a scummy reaction to the mini-wagon that's forming, hence the vote.

I don't understand the Elmo hate. I've read through his iso and I honestly don't see the scumminess. His initial hesitation at the policy lynch on RBT isn't sending me the same signals that apparently many others received.

Bv's vote on the Elmo wagon is the worst offender as he gives weak justification in the form of implied reasoning due to Elmo's play being "scummy".

Anyway, since you asked nicely, my reasoning for finding Elmo scummy today. 889 is him drastically overjustifying knowledge. He could easily say "I looked it up", but instead he has an entire story set up to cover for it.

Now on D1, his opener ISO 0 is bad. He comments on the major wagon, but doesn't vote because "he's worried about an accidental hammer". Now, that worry is obvious bullshit. This is a 15-vote lynch threshold, and it's post 32. To me, this is him buying time to figure out what needs to happen, while not ignoring the main wagon (or one of them at least). 9 POSTS LATER, and he's now suddenly comfortable with voting RBT, since he's knows that the wagon is likely to fall apart (It's early and there's not many votes there after all), but now he's a part of it.

After this, he goes in to one-liner mode for a few days, with an AtE (post 179/ISO13) and generic commenting (ISO 14), until he manages to get a slightly larger post to vote RBT again for a faked reason (which he tries to backtrack on saying it's late), but then back to powerlurking right through until today, where he inexplicably votes Reck. Then we're back to the top.

So you see why my vote goes there, then? Good.

On one hand, you have posts like 137, where he waffles like a champion, and 1120, where he basically lays out the reasons for scum to nightkill someone, but on the other hand you get stuff like 1471, where he posts actual useful info.
