The opposite way that Marquis' frenzy to dance was. At first I was like frantically seeking partner is scum, buuut I think Marquis is Marquis and he's going off the deep end. Thus more likely town at this point.

Losing confirmed town is bad.
The only way that trade works is if we get a deadscum out of it. Thus throwing mollie to the dogs (what you want to do) is horrid play for town because we lose a confirmed townie (or two!) for nothing.
There is no gain. We know mollie's alignment. No one is worried about ika right now. There is absolutely no reason to sign their death warrant without even lynching today.

That and the sheer apathy are two great things that gnaw at me every time I work on designing a mafia game here.

Antihero was MIA. Who was MIA. ika was MIA. Marquis and notscience were MIA. That's half the playerlist! Gaiden was MIA, Kagami was of little impact. ETL only really got involved when someone flipped the table on her.

In order to lynch ANYONE we need 6 votes.
There are ten live players, thus 10 votes.
Minus the pair that are going to die from being lynched.
Minus the two chronic lurkers.
That leaves 6.

Thus we need all six people to get a lynch through, unless lurkers return to us or people self/partner-vote or people walk.

Problem is we have JUST over 6 days to lynch three scum, with players MIA from the game.
I'm not trying to rush, just trying to keep us aware of deadline etc.

I don't think anyone is disagreeing with me that the lurkage is a problem; I'm just bringing up something else CAUSED by the lurkage.

Marquis' posting has gone in a downward spiral over the last few pages and its frankly OOC and feels forced. Overreactions and fake screaming.
My thing is Venmar is that with PTs/Neighbors/whatnot people and I, if we are both town, are PRETTY DARN CHUMMY and while there's some sweet nothings being said its more for flavor than CHUMMY TOWNREADS. And that's my thing with Venmar. It should come as no surprise that I have my doubts, and this is one of those tells that works for me; PEOPLE WHO KNOW ME AND I IN A PT? SHOULD BE CHUMMY. It should be everything its supposed to be. But there's a lot of not-quite chummy and a lot of 'don't walk stick this out be brave' and 'who/aerthem' to make me wonder. Especially in hindsight.

Why Gaiden and Kagami, who were rather low-impact players? Was it because scum were so spread out that the good/best options (mollie) were impossible because scum were paired with them? farside and I were mostly-townread as of D1, and I just find it odd that Kagami and Gaiden were the scumkill when they were rather low-involvement.

They were both town.
Which is the point.
But which 'better' pairs would have to be AT LEAST half-scum for those two to be the choice?

I am not trying to be a complete ass to you. My goal is, as always, to get people to PLAY THE GAME THEY SIGNED UP TO PLAY or have the humility to realize they overcommitted/are overburdened/not sufficiently interested and their continued involvement in the game is detrimental to the success of their faction and the health of the game as a whole and /out. Or re-evaluate their commitment and re-engage with the game.

I don't think I'm doing anything big here other than asking people to play the games they sign up to play. PERSONA you were around for a bit then over-committed and /outed. That was the right play as someone took over for you who was willing to play. I only ask that here you do the same; re-engage properly or /out. Simple as that. farside and I have said it here time and time again.

People need to play the games they sign up to play.
