Idk, it seems unlikely for pie to have given scum a VT fake claim, and his frustration and anger reads genuine to me, I don't like how he decided to stop what he was doing because of the anger tho, but i've felt like that before, just that in my case i usually end up with a self-vote or a replace out, if your meta assesment of him is true about him self-hammering then i could see him reacting like this as town.

Could you please clarify whether the 24-hour extension affected the 48-hour ticks?

The extra 24 hours did not count; if I need to extend the deadline, the darkness timer is paused until the "extra" time runs out.

Maybe my English is just that bad, I took this to mean that it's still darkness increasing every 48 hours regardless of extensions, until we pass the original 10 day deadline, and then the darkness is delayed.

I keep going into WIFOM over his interaction with lufan so I decided to just disregard it.

Other than questioning me and then attacking Skold for no reason, he's done very little despite saying that he'll contribute using discussions. Also I thought his line of questioning on me was seemed like bad reaching but that could just be bias speaking. Basically, to me, it looks a little like he's trying to look like he's doing something while contributing nothing, and I don't like that at all.

have zero interest in lynching whoever claimed the 40% role (shadowcat, im guessing? 'member reading something about them saying doc?). It's a confirmable role that benfits town over scum. I mean it should become fairly obv if that claim is a lie, or if role is used deviously.

I interrupted the mod-scum flavor thing as he might have a chance at raising a few players at a time. I don't know why, but it's how it clicked in my head. Like they can maybe say okay well I want to raise player x at 20% and player b at 80%.

This is what I meant when I said it's not necessarily confirmable, we don't know how scum distribute darkness, if they can choose how much darkness to give people (which seems plausible), I don't see how it's possible to confirm the ability at all.

Yeah I was trying to think up a scenario that could work.

If we choose a player for shadow to target then scum have a good chance of being able to mess up the darkness levels during the night, and if we let them chose a player then scum can just kill them. There's a small chance that it could work out though but the chances aren't great.

I really don't know, it's very inconvenient that shadow targeted NS of all people on N1 but their explanation on that was not completely implausible to me.

Yeah, with Thorki's claim I'm guessing that the Sachiko mechanic is making darkness increase 4% every 48 hours instead of 1%, but votes still only add 1%
So we at least know that the 'Darkness will increase faster as long as she is alive' is not just a simple multiplier, it might only affect the ticks, and not the darkness raised by scum.

I assumed Sachiko was a multiplier too since that's the most intuitive explanation, but the maths doesn't add up.

1 tick gave us 4% and 3 gave us 6%, which seems to suggest not a multiplier but a +3% per day which is kinda a really weird number.

Basically trying to see if your labeling of lufan being policy lynch was on purpose to weaken your own push or if it was a genuine thought.

I already answered that to Anka like 3 times and I'm only answering again because you replaced in. I missed the majority of his posts at the end so basically all I had to go off was the 'reads' and PT stuff that had me about 75% sure he was scum, but I was 100% sure he would be the best policy lynch. Ergo main reason policy lynch. If I'd been awake when he got back I would have voted him for being scum the second I read his next post, but you're just going to have to take my word for that since I can't exactly prove it.

Actually I'm probably going to start rereading chunks of this game, if not the whole game.

I'm finding myself just staring at the player list and thinking of reasons everyone could be town (but as nice as that would be, I have a feeling it's not correct - call it gut, if you will).

So I'm going to try to figure out where I'm going wrong today.

Also I'm not sure it's that big a deal if we use like 6 days this day phase since it seems to be a +3% thing rather than the multiplier I was assuming it was. And I'd rather take a bit of extra time to sort things out today since yesterday was rushed.

Pretty much this, I really need to reread with all the new info in mind since I've completely lost direction.

And the ticks only add 1% which is barely anything so we might as well take our time.

I have to assume that it's possible to raise darkness by less than 100% at a time to make the rest of the darkness mechanic worthwhile, so I was also surprised that ZZZX is still here if he was already at 70% darkness. But then again WN is probably a better target and they just announced that their darkness when down yesterday so maybe all the darkness was used up on them?

The stuff Thorki said yesterday still makes no sense if Shadow's ability was used on WN, (I assume they told the truth) unless you believe that a vig ability is to raise darkness by only 60% or if there's another darkness lowering mechanic somewhere, both seem unlikely.

Zymf did pretty much the exact same thing as he did in our last game together where he was town. The reason I refuse to give him town points for that is because what he did (mostly just summaries and little else) could easily be replicated as scum, and his game before the one we played together where he was also town had him playing very differently. My problem with Anx's posts feels similar to my problems with Anka's posts earlier on, so it could possibly be a play style thing, but I'm not ready to dismiss it as such just yet.

Gaiden's recent vote was really bad. I want to trust Sakura's read on him but anything read that comes with a 100% certainty just rubs me the wrong way (sorry). I can't really think of any reason to townread him.

After being so ridiculously wrong on my Thorki read I really don't know what to think anymore. There's literally nobody in this game what I would be surprised to see flip scum at this point, those are just the 3 that I think are most likely to flip scum. I'll be rereading the entire thread (if time allows) asap since right now my reads are so messed up that even I'd call them wishy washy.

The only reason I'm not hard scumreading WP's slot yet is because he was so willing to hint at his (scummy sounding based on flavour) character since early on, and was fairly willing to admit his (scummy sounding) passive darkness ability, which seems like a strange thing to do if he wanted to avoid drawing attention to himself. Not sure why he would claim darkness increasing but not vig after being rather blatant about it.

I'm such an idiot, I was assuming that WP was vig after all that stuff at the end of Day 2 but when nobody extra died and he claimed a passive ability I completely dismissed that thought and didn't make the connection with ZZZX's darkness rising.

@ T&L If *something* happens when you reach 70%, and you don't know what it is, wouldn't it be better (as Town) to take one for the team (get lynched) rather that chance letting yourself get to 70%, and have something bad (you've claimed not to know what it is) happen? Is there anything else we should know about your Role?

Pushing for a Thorki lynch here doesn't add up with the role. I'd expect town with that role to push for thorki to live one more night to test what happens at 70%.

I'm happy to claim if everyone else is. I have been considering whether or not it's likely that Titus is actually town vig, hence not voting her yet. The role just makes so much sense as scum/third party, especially if all the town PR claims so far have been legit.

Mikazuki's posts today feel completely off today. The early 'reads' posts don't feel naturally connected and it looks like there's no true effort to solve the game after that; it looks more like trying to guide the other players to the goalpost rather than kick the ball herself.

Mikazuki you waffled on your read certainty twice early on. You pointed out a PoE list, then later said that Thorki-town made you completely unsure of your reads, then shortly after went back to a similar stance to what you had the first time. Your reads conversations after that are as wishy-washy as your second stance even though I see posts that indicate it should be the opposite.

The whole thing reeks of scum not entirely sure of their position, which makes a lot of sense after the last two deaths.

A PoE list for me means that I am unsure of my reads. If I was sure of my reads I'd be giving you my scumreads, wouldn't I?

If we mislynch this round we'll presumably have 4 town and 2 scum tomorrow which is MyLo. I'm pretty much up for lynching Titus at this point since literally nothing she has done has made the slot any less scummy than before, if anything, it's now worse. Additionally, my strongest town reads Zelink and NS (Still with a frown towards NS >_>) both seem to agree that Titus could be scum, so unless Titus does something super amazing in the next 24 hours, consider my vote there.

I was thinking about that at some point too but vig on a player just because a conftown player suggested them, without having a scumread on that them beforehand strikes me as not great. Especially when the vig advice is from a player who hasn't really been around much, and it's only N2.

Would you vig a player you weren't scumreading? Only problem is that scum would have had no good reason to target ZZZX either so looking for town cred is the only explanation that comes to mind. I know Titus explained why she thought WP would do this earlier but I don't like that explanation, sorry.

Only reason I'm not really considering Titus for SK is because an SK who has limited shots (I assume) and can only raise darkness by 60% each night seems a little bit underpowered.

Oh boy. I had WP as probtown for most of the game, mostly because his reaction to me messing up quotes was so ridiculous I thought no way scum would pull such a weird move, but I changed my mind after he left for a few days and then came back. I guess it's plausible what Titus said about him losing interest in the game.

Ughhhhhhhh if not Titus then I'm probably willing to lynch 4chan since there's no point bothering with ZZZX I guess. We better freaking hope there isn't some sort of scum roleblocker, although I would assume that there isn't since WN said that Shadow was able to lower their darkness, and if there was a RB they likely would have blocked Shadow that night since they claimed their ability beforehand. The chances of hitting at least one scum between 4chan and ZZZX seems reasonable to me.

Gaiden if you're scum I hope you're having fun sitting back and watching us argue.

Well I've never replaced into a game with like 70+ pages already so I can't really judge whether the amount of effort she's putting it is reasonable or not. Her immediate change of mind on NS after interactions despite being so sure of her VCA results makes me question why she would be willing to rely on them at all if interactions can so easily override them. Explanation of WP's actions don't work for me but that I can't really dock her points for that since she can't exactly read WP's mind. Her role would make sense to me as a scum role.

Weirdly enough I'm still not 100% sold on her being scum, since I was townreading WP for a while and it still seems strange to me that he was willing to hint at his character since very early on and admit scummy sounding abilities if he didn't want to draw attention to himself. But then again, him not admitting to the vig after claiming a darkness increasing ability and outright asking who people would vig makes no sense whatsoever. Also vig'd a player he wasn't scumreading but we already discussed that.

PEdit - The Taly thing was just weird, I saw absolutely no reason for anyone to want to nk him. The cliquey thing is an interesting point actually, I never really thought about that. Not sure how much stock to put into that though.

Okay massclaim time! I'm 2-shot coroner, I investigated Seiko N1 (VT) and Mayu N4. Lufan was actually telling the truth, Mayu reduces darkness by 20% if targeted, I guess it must be a counter to Titus' ability.

I briefly considered Scum NS because of his reads and pushes, but wrong doesn't necessarily equal scum and his reactions come across as town to me. My slight paranoia on him still exists somewhat but eh, almost definitely unwarranted. If NS is actually scum, I'm going to have to spend a few hours smacking myself in the face with a textbook.

Like Ank said, I find it weird that scum don't seem to have used any abilities yet, we outnumber them slightly and had a town vig role and quite a few PRs, so it's very likely that they also have some kind of strong PR on their side, and it wasn't Lufan. Could be saving it for the end of the game I guess.

ZZZX unless everyone votes you, in which case you'll probably be dead anyway, you're not likely to die from darkness, it's a max of 5% a Day so the game will be over before you manage to die from the ticks.

Based on the provided fakeclaims in Pieguyn's Saki game (yes, I know it's not a guarantee), I assumed that Lufan's scum ability would be very similar to what he claimed as a town ability but with the opposite effect, and I was mostly right. Only reason I used my 2nd shot last night is because there's no guarantee that there will be a Night 5.

Arrogant town is probably marginly more effective (but also infuriating) than town who don't know what they're doing, I've found that more experienced players I've bumped into are definitely mostly a bit on the arrogant side so far ^^
