Sorry. I don't like that statement. It set off all sorts of alarm bells.Battle Mage wrote:
don't panic. your buddy K-Scope is still 8 from a lynch.Flameaxe wrote:Holy wagonshifts batman!

Also, what's the point of sharing what items we have? We don't know what any of the items do.
I know there are some people that receive bonuses from certain items, but I can only see that helping scum because they can see who has what and then kill whomever they need to to pick up a certain item. I don't see it helping town at all.-

But, we don't know what the scum would need to pick up their bonuses.Mastermind of Sin wrote:Although if the scum kill someone, we can try and pick up the items before the scum get them, since we already know what that person had.
I think I'm still missing something. How does an item claim help town?-

I guess it's more of a feeling than anything else. I just got a bad feeling from that statement. Usually when someone comes out and suggests two people working together (scum buddies), especially on day 1, it gives me an uneasy feeling. I know it's not a strong case, and you may have been joking, but it gave me an uneasy feeling. That's it.Battle Mage wrote: Blight, if you could elaborate on what about my post gave you a bad vibe, that'd be good. Just do me a favour and dont suggest that it was WIFOM, because as surprising as it may sound in a game that has so far been taken so seriously by all, i was actually kidding. lol-

Another good reason to item claim.YagamiLight wrote:I knew that, I wanted to see if he said he had anything for that very reason. After he answered, if he had said no, I would have called him on it. I think all people own shops, as there are 29 locations with items. So if he had said no, then he would have been lying.-

I disagree. We don't know what the items do yet. We also don't know if there really is a discrepency in K-Scope's story or if there's something extra that we just don't know. Having everyone else claim would make me feel a lot better about lynching or not lynching K-Scope.Battle Mage wrote:
I dont want to give the scum more information than necessary about who to kill tonight. Claiming a number of items is the equivalent of claiming a power role-and i dont think we need to do that on a day where our lynch choice is already decided.Mastermind of Sin wrote:Why?
I, for one, won't be claiming today. However i will claim first tomorrow if that is the will of the town.

And a hugeFOStowards BM for his unwillingness to claim after pushing others to.
And no, MOS, I didn't give/receive anything to/from anyone.-

Actually, it doesn't. It just means I picked up an item that once belonged to a dead guy. As far as I know, there's no way I, or anyone else, could have known what he was carrying before he died.IH wrote:Actually they weren't on the list, but there's a list in the items in the back alley, that I'm assuming he dropped when he died.
BUT that means that Blight had something to do with his death last night.

That still wouldn't mean that they'd know what item someone hadMastermind of Sin wrote:Unless the scum are told in advance what items the person they kill has.beforethey killed him/her.
It's simple, really. From this:
I saw that painkillers were added to the pile, and I decided to pick them up.rajrhcpfreak wrote:Day One
After looking around they find the body of scotmany12, the explorer possessed by the ghost of Megan. You notice that the back alley behind a couple of Freaktown businesses has been destroyed. The town checks for any items on scotmany12 and found Painkillers, they put it in the pile of items on the courthouse lawn.-

I just wanted to hear him say it himself, rather than have others provide the answer for him.Mastermind of Sin wrote:Wow, people aren't paying attention. Blight, BM, we're not lynching Ksc0pe. He got his CD from the shop he runs, and he made himself bear bear, because he's the winemaker. YagamiLight has confirmed that the winemaker is the only place to get bear bear. This doesn't preclude the two of them from running a risky scum gambit, but we're not lynching him today.-

I agree 100%. I think MOS and BM should claim before anyone else does.Kinetic wrote:Faeren Lord of Carlisle wrote: Let's see who's on this list... OMFG MOS AND BM are there!!!11!!!111!!one

Battle Mage wrote: err. I never supported everyone item claiming. In fact, i directly opposed the mass-item claim, once we had gleaned sufficient information from a few claims. The reason i opposed further claims, was simply because, i downright refuse to claim myself.
Suffice to say, you can work out what i have from the rest of the claims.Battle Mage wrote:
i guess i'd better be the one to speak up. I have to admit, although most of what he says is total BS, Jdodge is right on this. Really we should have the scummiest players claiming first, and realistically, that should be those with largest BW's. As such, that means Scope and Mariyta should be going first.Mastermind of Sin wrote:We should wait to see if there is any more dissent.Battle Mage wrote:ooh-Popcorn style claim. I believe MoS suggested that in Mafia 61. sounds fun!
That's three different occurances where you supported claiming. You decided to stop when you felt K-Scope was a good lynch target (red flag #1 - wanting to lynch someone without all the information; red flag #2 wanting to end the claims before it got to you).Battle Mage wrote: @Albert-such a claim can be useful so that people with items that go well with other items, can find the items they need. Plus it cements people to one story early on. Only issue is that it may reveal role information (who owns which shop etc.)
Truth is, K-Scope isn't the primary lynch target anymore. But, now you say that you didn't support a mass-claim because you refuse to claim, yourself (red flag #3).
Here's the deal, you wanted to go scummiest to least scummiest. Well, right now, you're high up there on my list, so go ahead and claim.
You want to do it popcorn-style? Well, I already claimed, and now I'm picking you to go next.
I can't remember where my vote lies, but just in caseUnvote, Vote: BM.
There's a difference between Kinetic opposing the claims throughout and you opposing the claims only before we get to you.-

Yeah, I'm pretty sure BM has just snapped.Mariyta wrote:Does anyone else think BM has simply snapped at this point? He used to think somewhat logically, but right now, he just seems out of it.
When you say it like that, yeah, it sounds hypocritical. But, let's add all the facts in there. First off, it wasn't just "somebody else". It wasBattle Mage wrote: Much as you deny it, it was highly hypocritical for you to fight so strongly against the mass-claim, yet when SOMEBODY ELSE showed signs of coming around to your way of thinking, your stance changed.you, someone who was pushing for the item claimuntilit came down to you to claim. Then suddenly you started "coming around". On the other hand, Kinetic was against it, and made it clear that he was against it, from the start. But, even so, he still claimedbeforeyou, so you you can understand his frustration when suddenlyyou, someone who was advocating the mass claiming, decided you didn't want to claim.
There was nothing hypocritical on his part. He was callingyouout onyourhypocrisy.
