Hmm, in response to the discussion about whether or not to switch threads during the game, I think we should switch if we feel like it, why have a two threaded game if we're all gonna stay in the same thread until the end game...

Hmm, Wouldn't that be a little obvious if I was scum? I mean like 4 people have already picked up on it....
Besides, we know there are 2 killing groups, which suggest 2 scum groups, which suggests they are against eachother. So If I was scum and left, I would leave my other scum buddies down here on the planet and give the town an advantage? not bloody likely.

Leaving threading to the end-game simply makes it easier for the town to lose, since the number of players will be significantly lower, and a town loss could come quickly if players thread while other players die during the same night.

I don't think it matters who we send, scum or not, since it seems to me like the scum groups would be competing.

Or it might be that he is in fact mafia and will get the town to lynch no one and at the same time get a townie go to the other thread. By that way at day tow they will be rid of two townies on the planet.

It makes sense to me, MeMe, he means the nightkill as well as the thread.

Two players just threaded over here from the ship, if they go into night again we have two more suspects.

This is ridiculous! we now will have... 8 players on the ship by daybreak! and No doctors, assuming the scum haven't left the planet, it could be 3 scum and 5 townies left there tommorrow. This is dangerous....

Hmm, I disagree, I think that maybe the number 2 does have meaning, kinda like a townie with a hint, like in.... (i cant remember which game, it was a mini).

Maybe it means...
2 scum groups?
2 people per group? Seems a little low..
there could be other possibilities..., just a hunch.

Yeah, sorry I haven't posted much lately (in any of my games), but i've been overwhelmed with school and now that march break is on I've been out alot.

His claim seems plausible, but the mechanics are strange. Then again, mathcam & glsamm are modding.

A thought crossed my mind, maybe he's a SK, that can force people to thread, or to block someone from threading, with a goal of being the only one in one place.

Hmm, so it seems I wasn't the only one thinking there could be a cult (or two?? :shock: ) in this game.
I'm with MeMe and believe there are cult(s?) in this game, and saying so, I also believe that the game might've started with 1 or 2 recruiters for each thread, since with 3 or more threads would be lost too quickly. 2 even seems high, being that by now we would have 5 mafia.
Of course there are usually certain roles unable to be recruited, but thinking about it, it seems like if scum found a role unable to be recruited, they would simply kill them, because they would most likely have a powerful role.

My thoughts seem to be in the right place, when he first mentioned the "number 2 in his head" I wondered if it was the number of scum in the thread with him, it seems to make even more sense when put with scum recruiting as a possibility.

Just a thought, perhaps the Shigowhateevrs are recruiters too, and willow was a townie with abilities before being recruited?
Another thought, maybe people are recruited when threading.
Yes, I was on the willow wagon from the beginning, but i have my own reasons.

Not sure what to think of CaptainB, but i never trust townie claims, though he's not seeming too scummy to me.

Yes, my message about WW was cryptic, at the time I had limited information about his role. Something about massive doesn't settle well, I don't know what, and information I have about him suggests he is innocent.

Does anyone have a list of who is from where? I remember a discussion about this info from earlier, maybe we can catch someone in a lie. Or stick them with being planet-based or ship-based scum?

Also, are we in agreement that the mutinists recruit? It seems obvious that would be how they would work.

It seems clear that it was the Shigonooks that killed him, seeing as he is a mutinist. I am still unsure what to think of the mutinists since the ship thread is gone, I wonder if they are still a danger to us. With his death, noticabley not only Ship based roles could be recruited, as well it is clear that not only townie roles could be recruited.

I am the Ship's Resident Scientist, on the ship to study the region we are currently in, Each night I can choose a player and keep them busy all night with my research. I am told that some players will not allow themselves to be held for research overnight, but not told who. In effect I am a role-blocker, I didn't trust Dragon Slayer that much yesterday so I decided to block him.

This is not a guarantee he is scum, as we dont know if the other group recruited or what happened.

Night 1: Didn't Block anyone, since the two were already killed i didn't feel it necessary.

I know that MeMe was not blocked, that is why i didn't come out, In my PM it says that i hold people for research, I doubt i could hold the security chief (thats MeMe if i remember correctly) for research.

Does it not make sense that i would not block certain people?
