i dont know how fro99er plays scum and you kind of flatlined in content so i guess this is a good jumping point to get back into gamesolving

There wasn't much mislynch bait left by end of game.
I'd say that means most of Town were playing at least moderately well

we only needed two in you and random to win

which is why i tried so hard to clear jj after my guilty

2/3 of those were unintentionally strategical lmfao

the softing guilty was if you were scum for you guys to night kill me since my role had no more utility

I think RC made a good point that if scum had done a better job with getting into bonds earlygame and stealing active slots from important town peoples this could have also gone very differently.

I think that's approaching the role in the wrong direction.

What if she made like Gork and went to interrogate someone and faked a hard scumread in the bond and then carried it to the thread? She could still go back on the scumread later, but the fusion would be permanent. Conviction in the moment would set it up nicely for a permanent roleblock.

i think he means how two of the scum lynches were from guilties - the lynches from reads were on town. aelita was vigged in a way that was more mechanically sound than based on alisae's own reads, shiqf was basically rng to boot. dunn wasnt a contender for d3 lynch until the guilty (town was pushing mcmenno), i could have saved myself if not for bella dying.

though a part of jj's case on aelita was that she had a scum role (disagree on that since we didnt get fakeclaims but yeah) so i guess that counts?

this isnt to downplay town or to insinutae scum didnt suck but i do think town had a lot of power (which rc said was intentional to make the setup swingy)

the setup was swingy not town or scumsided imo

we were basically a team of goons while town had multiple investigatives, technically masons, jj's redirector, and a doctor since they had active bonds going

we had power to counter it but it required momentum to get on our side - had I had my D1 bond with trans and gotten the mass neighborizer roleblocker to infiltrate the townbloc and get townread or if at the eleventh hour gotten the venegful mass roleblocker to make a jj kill guaranteed it'd be a completely different game (coincidentally the PRs I would have taken despite not knowing them ). the game went basically to whoever had bonds and since scum didnt play well the setup felt townsided, but it could have easily gone scumsided

also keep in mind i know jack shit about balance so maybe im talking out of my ass idk

i also think the mentality of "town prs actually helping town is cheap and takes away from 'scumhunting'." is bullshit and needs to die but i guess i'll hold off on that screed....

stuff thats easy to use well, like a full watcher or cop yeah since you cant really fuck up using them but you can misplay even a tracker or jk. even a hider or vig has downsides that keep the game interesting
