Actually, I'm pretty sure I figured out a way that we could break the game and confirm every Phantom Thief.
Part of the Phantom Thief role PM tells me who Akira Kurusu is.
If, somehow, we could all claim at the same time, who Akira is, we could immediately confirm all the Phantom Thieves.
Of course, that level of cooperation and getting everyone to post at the exact same time so scum can't just copy+paste and sneak in would be nearly impossible.
I also though that maybe when we run someone to L-1, they could claim and also claim who they think Akira is, but if scum somehow know Akira's identity (But they shouldn't otherwise this game design gets real dumb), we could confirm out people before lynching them.
Of course, that does out Akira, who seems to be our most useful PR or something.

You went out of your way to claim this, just so you could suggest a plan that you immediately acknowledge is impossible in practice? And one that assumes that scum don't have access to the knowledge of who Akira is. Could you expand on these reads? I think I know why you (and some others, such as seemingly chesskid on Varsoon) are assuming Varsoon and mastina are town, and I feel like that's giving too little credit to their ability to gambit their play. I definitely know of mastina's willingness and ability to pull off gambits, so I won't give her towncred for claiming to want to be lynched. It's rare that someone in mastina's position would actually get lynched D1, especially in a large game. Their hydra partner even backed off of the desire to get lynched. I do like Eddie's post on Drixx, specifically the fact that he brought up good points similar to my thought process independently of me, but that can't be what you were basing your read on, here.

Kise, it was nothing that was going to get anyone talking. It was just your entrance that pinged me. I didn’t find you immediately declaring that you weren’t serious about cheering for a 50 page pre-game sincere.

I’m not playing low effort on purpose. This is just how I play. I did scum read Mulch earlier because I found that all he was really doing before he blowed up was just asking why people scum read him and not really hunting. His tone felt like someone who was afraid of being caught for the wrong reasons and his blow up didn’t encourage me to think otherwise. Maybe I should’ve seen it coming but I honestly never seen him this mad other then a post-game and his anger there felt justified unlike here.

I had a scum read on Ellibereth for mentioning how someone claimed in a way similar to how Mastina did here and then seemingly using it to explain why she’s scum. I have liked his drive to understand Creature’s meta and not just blindly follow the town reads on him. I think he is putting a bit too much stock in 767 though and I’m mostly in agreement with Penguin. I just don’t see Ann being a traitor with how indebted she is to the Joker. The only characters I can see who would fit the bill would be Ryuji because he's always running his mouth. Maybe Haru if she thought the Phantom Thieves killed her father.

Anyway, I scum read Maki and Wheme. Don’t know what to make of Rational vs. Purple yet. Will have to reread it in a bit.

I don’t buy why you decided to fake being a gladiator Eddie. You know Math has trouble with social cues and that they got lynched long before that game was over. Way more likely they believed you and didn’t get the subtle jab at all.

There’s also the level of investment shown when you fake claimed. You not only voted for Rational when you did it but wrote a big paragraph to accompany the vote on why you felt they were scum.

Lastly, this is a pretty intense flavour themed game. Ruling out any role that isn’t explicitly bastard is pretty foolish so don’t see how you expected Math to realize it was fake or me for that matter

Gladiator claims in the Normal queue 99% of the time are fake claims. It’s like claiming a vigilante that can shoot during the day.

Short of a guilty, Purple being town can't be impossible in your eyes, and considering how a scumread flipping town changes your other reads is pretty basic game solving. I don't see how Eddie's 'level of investment' or decision to fake being a gladiator is scummy. Nobody buys fake day vigs anymore, so if he wanted good reactions, using a different role and putting in more effort to make the claim credible serves that purpose.

I don’t really have any thoughts on Yume. I find it hard to believe that they willingly decided to revert back to what motivated them to change their play style in the first place. I suspect that her play is because she actually doesn’t like her role and is busy IRL.

It just reads out of place to me because I don’t see what the mod could’ve posted in game for him to have asked that. The only thing close to what I think could’ve made him ask was the mod saying 19 out of 22 players have confirmed, but why would the mod lie about that? It’s possible he could be town asking about his role and thinking the mod lied to him about something but I imagine one wouldn’t make such assumptions and be through before thinking they’ve been deceived.

It also doesn’t really make sense from a town point of view to ask because most people consider lying at any point in the game bastard.
