If we are going to have this little discussion every day, I have no idea how we're ever going to figure out who the godfather is, except possibly through blind luck. In fact, we didn't even wait long enough to see if a cop was going to finger a goon today or not.

Well that was to be expected. I don't mind you being suspicious of me, Fritzler, but the way you're acting is giving the perfect chance to simply lurk. You're rewarding inactivity. So why don't we hear from everybody(maybe a cop has a result to reveal, eh?) and then we'll discuss this day's kill, ok?

Based on these last few post I sooo want to kill Fritzler, but since I'm trying to win this game instead of trying to kill as many people as possible, I will wait to hear if there's any cop result.

We really need to have discussion. We have pleanty of ways to find goons, between the cops and the fact that they can't kill, but we have no idea of how to find the godfather except through posting. And the Godfather is the real danger to us, I think. If he's smart, he might have already gotten himself confirmed as "not a goon" by either killing or getting himself investigated; if he hasn't by now, he probably will soon, especally if we continue the "make person A kill person B to "confirm" both of them as not goons" stratagy. For that reason, if anyone does another pointless speedkill of a townie today, I'm going to be VERY suspicious of you being the godfather and trying to "confirm" yourself as not a goon.

Heck, at this point, if the only way to restore some sanity to the town's stratagy here is to kill off some of the uber-trigger happy people, I'm willing to do it, especally as I suspect one of the people who's already killed might be the godfather.

The people I am most suspicious of: TSAGod, for first suggesting that Baby Jesus was a cop; Monty and WindSlicer, for not yet posting. I would be happiest if one of them were to kill TSAGod, but (as per my suggestion yesterday) we should get pseudo-votes from everybody and reach consensus before doing anything precipitate.

The truth of it is, any way of confirming we have at our disposal that leaves them alive (cop investigation, making them kill) is useless on the GF, and so we're going to have to figure out the GF from discussion. To that end,

please, do not kill unless the majority of town seems to be in agreement that you kill, that you kill that person, and that we do it now

. The loss of a cop is bad - puts us behind on the cops/goons thing, but with the kill-thing we can do, hopefully we can catch up.

Methinks we should put the more suspicious one as the killee in each pair, and with some luck, we may nab the GF.

Hm. I still suspect Ranger - that was stupid, and more than a bit 'look at me I can kill I'm town'. He may be GF - but that would be a really stupid thing for the scum's one trump card to do, so I'm prepared to leave him be in favour of non-'confirmeds'.

Fritzler also bugs me - and is also confirmed . But that's more just I don't like the way he's behaving than particularly scummy, IMO.

I don't blame the non-posters much, given the way the day's been I am, however, happy with the suggestion of TSAGod for one of today's two.

Not WIFOM at all. It's simply that we've been using the statagy of "let's make one of the "unconfirmed" kill another", and so if your primary goal is to not be killed (which would be the Godfather's primary goal right now) then the logical thing to do would be to quickly get yourself "confirmed" as a non-goon, probably by killing someone.

It's not a matter of WIFOM; it's a matter of figuring out what the logical move of the other side would be.
