Thanks for hosting, dram.

I probably should have went full tunnel mode and tried to undo FourTrouble really hard when I realized he proooooooooooooooooobably wasn't town, but day 2 was so painfully awful that I didn't want to contribute to it happening a second time on day three.

Congrats Drixx. That was a pretty cool win on your part. I thought you were honest all the way, and that Ollie was the last scum for the longest time.

Sorry mod for replacing out. I was an idiot, that's really all there is to it. To answer why I didn't share my 'notes' earlier, I basically realized I didn't have anything worth sharing. I gave up on the game when I was realized that I basically had nothing. I'm also inclined to feel it's rude to post after requesting a replace-out except in circumstances like MyLo/LyLo.

Thanks to Heartless for replacing me.

Thanks Vyse. I'm still having a fairly hard time believing I managed to do it. The site is so strong on the side of lynching neutrals, and I replaced into a restrictive 3P claim. I hope the next few games I join or replace into slot me town... seriously. The exertion to play scum well enough to win is exceptionally exhausting.

No problem! Honestly, there's something about you that just screams Town to me. I hope I can fix my schedule such that I have time to play here again, because I'd like to figure you out. :P

I totally understand what you mean, though. I felt the same way after my first game here.

I've made all thread public except Elysium.
I will not make that one public however, due to the sheer amount of drama within.

Dead thread is funny.

Remember when I put all the group scum in my day 4 read list and people talked shit on it?

Me too.
As the last rays of sunlight fade, one killer chases another through the tangled madness of the city.
A flash of steel announces the presence of his quarry.
The stage is set.
The night explodes.

I'm not even halfway through the dead thread, and there have been a ridiculous amount of LOL moments. My wife is looking at me like I'm insane.

That comment about the game doing itself in the backside without lube while yelling out a swear word ... genius.

Elysium was an ancient Greek concept of a separate place from hades where those related to the gods or exceptional heroes would go. Ἠλύσιον πεδίον is the ancient name for it. It developed over time into more of a general idea of Paradise where the righteous and brave would be rewarded after life. Most of the ancient Greek authors and historians referred to it in one form or another. It passed into general usage as a term for paradise as the Roman empire gained ascendance and was even used by the early christian church.

In popular culture, the movie Gladiator is probably the most memorable recent example of direct reference to Elysium as the reward for carrying out duty and maintaining honor. Maximus gives a speech at the start of the film to his men that they shouldn't worry if they suddenly find themselves in a beautiful place, for they will have died and gone to Elysium ... just prior to the battle scene that begins the film. The narrative thread and idea of Elysium was one of the stronger narrative threads in the movie, and as he was being carried away dying, Maximus was shown to be rejoining his dead wife and son there.

So ... it is probably the Greek neighborhood chat, since we're dealing with SMITE and the SMITE characters are gods from various faiths and myths, and Elysium originated as the earliest idea of the home of the Greek gods. It could just as well be for the Roman pantheon also, if the later historical usage is what Dramonic got inspiration from.

So that's it, then? You're just going to bow in the face of authority? Of dictatorship?

Stand up for what is right. Release Elysium.

From what I recall, you really don't want to see what was inside Elysium.

Also thanks for the game, dramonic. Sorry for replacing out.
