Chara we did have day talk and we had just coordinated the hammer anyway

Scum pt can be released
even without you and Penguin ready to drop the hammer, Nancy wouldn't have even been able to vote Gamma if i'd gladiated Varsoon when i thought about doing so. or Penguin.
at least choosing to vote Gamma when i did didn't affect the outcome, but i still fucked up.
Yeah, I would have voted Varsoon over you, since you were my strongest townread after Kokichi at that point. So, lesson learned, Maria can’t be trusted to read Dunn correctly.
in retrospect, dunn not dying after i claimed merlin day 1 was suspect after i fake softed him first post.

Only correct Maria read in this game, was NK15.

She had Penguin as locktown, merely for posting . . . anything.
if you look at dead thread, most people's reads were wrong. They were saying UT, Chara or you scum for sure. She did well with the roleswap tho

Congratulations to scum team for winning despite Arthur getting the sword on Night 1!
We actually would have had a better shot at winning this, if Arthur hadn’t have gotten the sword.
Or if I had been Arthur, because I never would have shot DVa and especially Auro.

You probably did best out of town. My criticisms were mostly aimed at Kokichi.
I'm fine with you saying them btw lol. What could I have done better? As I told you in PMs I couldn't believe I was actually arthur. I think I did well with the roleswaps, obviously my reads were bad but most of towns were.

Townlocking Dunn, was our biggest mistake. Sorry Gamma.

If you had agreed to gladiate Penguin, things might have turned out differently.
it wasn't. i was taking Dunn being scum into account with my reads, i unfortunately just didn't go through with either of the gladiates due to being terrible.
but it's something to learn from.

You can release the scum PT.

I think town has better chances of winning without getting the sword, for sure.
Pretty much every scum maneuver worked though, which was the problem.

I figured that one of two things would happen if we ran down the timer:
1. Town would figure it out at least to the point of Penguin getting gladiated and lynched.
2. We'd end on a no-lynch win with lies about holiday/weekend activity, which is kinda lame.

So I went for the gladiate.
PT should show that I kinda considered it a day or two earlier, even.

Have more confidence, Chara. Your reads won't always be right, but when they feel right, go for it. Better to commit to something you believed in and end up wrong than to not commit when you were right.

Gist of my thoughts:

The chances of town actually getting Arthur on Excalibur is exceedingly low, but boy OH BOY is Arthur + Excalibur
STRONG
. Most people don't get to experience a power imbalance like this: an IC BP Vig in a mountainous setup!!!! You're a freaking
SUPERMAN
at that point. People would absolutely KILL for a role like that. Your Merlin pulled off a
MIRACLE
somehow and she managed to get the sword to Arthur on N1 (ended up being 1/3 chance, btw), which is the single best possible scenario for town in this setup, and then what happened????

Town lost. Badly. It wasn't even close. Everyone was busy doing random things and fakeclaiming their asses off while your superman killed town after town before going AWOL. The only scum lynch was the one the scum team gave to you guys.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that despite being dealt an amazingly good hand, possibly the
single best hand in the game
against all odds, town managed to lose the game. It's like if your favorite soccer team started the game with 5 goals, and then finished the game 5-30 with half your players red carded. Or it's the Olympics relay swimming and your Micheal Phelps swam back with a massive lead and turns out rest of your team can't swim. Or you're Sauron and sent 9 ringwraiths against a couple of hobbit farmers and the ringwraiths fail fantastically. I don't know. I can't even begin to imagine just how huge of a lead the town needed to win this game.

So what your saying, Fakegod, is town did so skillfully at failing that we did better then ever thought possible. This outcome took so much coordination and effort that the town should be praised for failing so spectacularly, right?

I'd like to point out that MariaR never actually called me town - she just never called me scum, which people jumped on all the same as if it were a hard townread and I was cleared.

In reality, her read on me was probably one where she was still trying to figure me out, me being somewhere around null for her

i'm also not going to be changing my mind about Maria's read accuracy on Dunn. i think Dunn is right here.
i started to think i was wrong on that townread partway through the Day... but, as Varsoon said i need to be more confident.

My take away is if I don't attempt to make reads and just shout "I GOT A GUN" at the top of my lungs, the town ignores me and the mafia kills me.

Mafia didn't, the real Arthur did AFAIR.
