Doesn't matter if you think you've won, treat it as if the game's still going and you could lose.

Inverse is also true; doesn't matter if you think you've lost, treat it as if it's still winnable and fight to the bitter end.

Is one of the main reasons effort != alignment for me; provided real-life constraints don't get in the way (which they often do, especially since my timezone clashes with most scummers so I'm not around to defend myself against being hammered at crucial times), I never give up so I'll always put in the requisite effort--and then some.
+1
I recently refused to end a game when mafia reached majority, because the wincon "kill everyone else" has not been met. While a massclaim had occured guaranteeing a successful kill, I wanted to leave open the possibility that the townies were lying in the massclaim.

But hey, congrats, this has to be the most coordinated scumteam ever. I’m nominating the entire scumteam for a scummie.

I wasn't particularly coordinated, but I feel like the rest of the team really was. Have you read through the maf pt?

I’m guessing he’s trying to rub it in that by wrongly defending tw/sheep, you/hebi. I was unknowingly scumsiding? Right, Jingle?

FWIW, I disagree that a scumteam that needed 5 replacements was amazing. They did a good job, but not scummy worthy imo.

Replacements suck, I agree, but Hebi at least was a strong town read when she was replaced

Creature, one slot I can still be fairly confident about reading, You scumfucks aren’t going to take that away from me.

I'm not saying she wasn't. I'm saying that given sheep/hebi literally lurked out of the game, Dannflor was shot the day after he replaced in, tw was here for about a week and Purr basically scumclaimed in what looks like an unintentional way it's not really scummy material imo. You deserved the win and played well. I wouldn't say your play was amazing. I might be a little bit salty about being shot so soon, but I feel like my evaluation is reasonable.

Hm. These are all fair things. I think we're judging by different metrics, however.

You're judging based off of reads and kills - which is fair, and a pretty towny metric to grade by.

I'm judging based off of coordination of night kills, role blocks, bussing, claiming, and coordination. I'm not saying the scum team was good at not being scumread, I'm saying the scum team worked together well instead of falling apart in a fit of fighting (which is what I saw in the last large theme I was in).

I don't know. I'm sorry - I just like talking about things and I know this doesn't actually matter.

No, I agree with you that the scum team did very well. The night kills were perfect to keep town disorganized. You managed some crucial mislynches and remained towny through them.

What I'm saying is that the black marks I mentioned keep this game from being scummy worthy imo. I think the disconnect is in where we think the bar for scummy worthy should sit. You were good. I think scummy noms should be extraordinary.

Yea that was the most unexpected and unfortunate way for me to die :(
I was telling the truth when I said I shot you because you were scum.

Sorry. The game would have been totally different if I'd shot someone else the first night.

What I did lie about was the night I shot Trekkie. I was reading town there, but looking for a town shot that wasn't obviously from an SK. The rest of the game I was completely town motivated. I was surprised that my claim to be town was actually believed as much as it was, but I suppose that was Duck just trying to confuse us.

Good job scum.

Oh yes OK I agree not scummy worthy I thought point of contention was on whether or not scum was coordinated

She might have if she'd shot someone other than vonflare. I'm honestly not sure what it was that was making me think this but I kept running through scenarios in my head the last two days and brie won a lot of them

just so you all know, if you're interested in playing another game moderated by me, I have a 17-player large theme game in signups right now! it wasn't designed by me (there's an explanation of that in the opening post) and is guaranteed to be single ball with no third parties, but I think you'll have a good time even without a jester!
