This just in, folks: the optimal scum strategy is now to get hung day 1. Statistically, you win more often if this happens.

I don't know if it's statistically better, but I'd bet that scum winrates after a D1 scumflip are a lot closer to winrates after a D1 townflip than people would expect.

I think the biggest reasons are that scum hung D1 are more often than not bussed and that just based on numbers town is likely to mislynch a few times afterward and that can lead to a downward spiral and loss of motivation.

@ those 5 posts? 2691 is part of my failed catchup and the rest are sparring with Ram. What reads am I talking about? Though 2698 is kinda important. I'm fussing @ Ram for trying to sway from the FN wagon. Do you really think I'd not feel the same towards you? And I think your incredulousness @ the situation seems fake. On that note, should I just keep lurking along with everyone else? I've read almost all of this thread and chose to back down. I'm not claiming to have the best play, but everything I've done has been vastly overexaggerated as scummy. Oh well, I'm guilty of it, too, with little activity and hard-to-come-by scumreads. Still, I'm just a damn townie.

My vote remains on Ram. I'm inclined to vote Elsa to rid ourselves of the Miller since we are closing in on the deadline with few other options.

Pretty much this. D1 scumlynch > town thinks game is on lock > town lets things slide > town is in a bad spot in whatever number lylo because no one cared much after D1 is the progression of events I seem to notice.

Not this again. It's not D1 scum lynch that loses games, but town being bad and thinking only 1 lynch at a time and not planning ahead. This game is perfect example, you got scum lynch D1, but now what? Game is stagnating
