I hate to be anal about this but could you put down either a vote or unvote just in case the mod does count it?

Posted: Mon Jan 07, 2019 6:16 am
by Varsoon
Yeah, it's not really good form to vote with intent but not with actual names.

Trust, I was tempted to take advantage of it, make ShoshinTW think they were lynched, see the response, but I don't know if
1. it would've fooled them
2. they would've given any worthwhile info and not just WIFOM

The first link is very persuasive. Shoshin used that word, multiple times in Starcraft 1.

The second link doesn’t work, however.

I'm not feeling good about this wagon/lynch for the reasons people are pushing it.

Like half the votes don't seem serious, or serious for a really dumb reason.
(@ProFlavor)

Unless they're being bussed as scum, I don't understand the lack of resistance other than their town with a town-led wagon.

And I don't see the benefit of
STW
-scum still keeping up the
"we're one person"
shtick if they do acquire this much opposition.

Yeah, I see that it can be unhelpful to town, but I'm not seeing how it's definitively scum here.

@Mephistophanes: The second link works--it should bring you to TAZ mafia, with a search for 'stretch', yielding no results.
You're welcome to search that game on your own:

A lot of people just haven’t posted since this really started so I wouldn’t take a lack of resistance as telling right now.

Varsoon posted 2 links, one to Starcraft 1, where you encouraged everyone multiple times to “stretch their mind” and the second, to TAZ, where you didn’t do that even once.

It’s really mindblowing how often scum!Shoshin used that word in Starcraft 1 and never once in TAZ. I don’t recall her using it in Labrynth either.

I searched, she didn't.
I even made a joke of it in Starcraft and Shoshin acknowledged I was using her words.

I get the sense that they’re not budging on this no matter what.

This is sound.

My vote's on there in spirit as well.

Also Alchemist feels town.

my vote was rvs

now it's real

I'm not convinced by Taly's wifom argument

This signing posts thing and follow up posts are the scummiest posts of the thread. Why does town you not just go okok jeez and start signing?

@varsoon
Dunno about the word choice argument. It seems to me that if a person wasn't using a phrase, and then they pick up a phrase, they might keep using that phrase regardless of alignment. I definitely find myself doing that in conversation.

Can you find an instance not in the SC1 game where Shoshin used that turn of phrase?

of course you could also just be right.

I know and seeing that gave me really bad vibes. @Shoshin the worst, if you have any towngames, where you repeatedly tell people to stretch their minds. you had better post the links soon. If you can’t find any, I don’t see why we shouldn’t view that as a scumslip on your part?

I think Starcraft 1 is only her second scumgame on this site. I could probably try the look up the first. The worst might have linked to it in Labrynth.

But even if she hadn’t, unless she has done that in at least one towngame, I think it’s reasonable to view it as scummy.

@Mod; Is there going to be a record of previous Days’ player list orders or do players have to manually keep track of previous orders?

Hrm, small sample size would make that difficult to confirm

It's definitely not town indicative.

Reaction test.
STW
likely has reliable meta on multiple players here to my understanding.

Now that they've acknowledged a serious push/wagon against them,
(their lack of doing this prompted my reply in )
and they're asking for clarity about it.

@STW

I want to know why my opening post on
Kokichi
was awkward; do you think his post was NAI or unserious?
Alchemist21 wrote: A lot of people just haven’t posted since this really started so I wouldn’t take a lack of resistance as telling right now.
Then walk me through how warranted your vote because it's plainly obvious that it wasn't factual.

Plus, it's lack of resistance enough if someone had to unvote to avoid a quickhammer, unless I'm reading the vote count wrong.

~

Also, I've never heard specific phrases come from specific alignments in people... so the
"stretch your mind"
tell doesn't make sense to me?
