Already gave most of my peace in the Dead thread, but yikes... 3 Protectives with McQueen as a backup 4th. An unlimited shot vigilante. A Cop in a mafia only game. A hider that literally clears people from being scum on general.

You guys must have REALLY not wanted to be scum here. Considering I got Werewolf Watcher, Mafia Goon, and Vanilla Townie... Should have just made us reset by being Town Watcher.

I really didn't have a choice anyway, but also, lets face it, I am somehow detrimental to scum no matter what I roll.

Thanks for the game everyone.
I'd always take 3rd party over anything, then town then Scum if I have to.

I got VT VT and hider. I expected to die early.

So one thing I released I was dumb about was an ascetic being in the game. But by the point I realised it didn't make a difference.

You're all beautiful people and I enjoyed you all.

I did what I could with what I had. I was truly banking on you being an SK/ lone WW for us to stand a chance.

Even when Ofr jumped in to help me I was already dead. Then DT jails and stops even our attempt to kill Gamma... It was over.

At least in Mafia Universe, it's a general trend that, when you are completely new to the game, you might have trouble getting into the game to deceive others as a scum, but once you get the hang of the game, you prefer scumming. However, once you play enough, you realize that scumming is just lying and fooling people, which could be fun, but for people who played a lot of mafia games, that's less fun than playing as a townie and trying to logically solve the game.

Come to think of it, keeping this trend in mind, there is a higher chance of the more experienced players to just choose town alignment over scum if they can, so these games where players get to 'choose' alignment, rarely can be balanced

that is not to say that elsa and ofhrz are new players for choosing scum alignment, but on average, in a mathematical sense, experienced, and hence better players, are more likely to choose town alignment. good experienced players can still choose scum, but one or two good players will not change the game too much if more players just straight up choose towns

Well Thomas I'm a naturally impulsive anarchist so I was gonna always attempt to go for Scum or a big town role like vigilante. I only got Watcher as an option though. I even was going to keep going for Pintu and later claim Lyncher but Dave fucking was the legitimate Lyncher with the bottom target so that went out the window.

I think there's nothing much to it but how the playerlist is feeling at the point they have to push. If I had to choose my alignment today, I would be choosing third party. If I chose after a two weeks break, I would choose scum... I know that's only me, but I think that's a common trait for anyone here: sometimes you feel like catching scum, sometimes you feel like decieving everyone.
