wrt AtE I don't ate to advance my position any more than I need to. I might have tried some sneaky shit at endgame if needed but my vent at brown eyes was 100% earnest. Lurk culture is both unfun and weak. BE got two scum kills because she had a triplevig and that is all. She had a correct 100% scumread on me, per dead chat came into a day where I was a clear lynch, and utterly failed to get a wagon off the ground.

If BE sticks around I think she'll have a dozen towngames better than this one in no time at all. This was an ok performance but the only part she should be proud of was heavily mechanically augmented.

This is the end of my discourse on this occasion and I'll stay civil but I was entirely within my rights to say what I said and completely disagree it was AtE to advance my position in the game.

Spoiler:
In post 277, mastina wrote:Btw, pretty sure I can answer why we were the nightkill.
1: The last scum is confirmed to be human; we are confirmed to NOT be human via passing the tea to roster.
2: Even if we weren't, the way we handled Papyrus (and to some extent, how Papyrus handled us) was NEVER scum-scum, ESPECIALLY not in tandem with how I had been reading the flipped scum.
3: Even if it could be, I was WAY outside of my scum range and both roster and Pink Ball knew it. The only people who didn't (or in the case of the worst, "didn't") were Chemist and the worst...AKA, the two players I'd have gone for a lynch on.
4: I had stated yesterday pretty much that the only reason I thought Papyrus/Chemist was more or less the worst being more town than Chemist, and had him in my lynch pool regardless as an alternative.
5: At the end of the day, I fingered him more than I had previously, and I never got a chance to tell him my suspicion was weaker than he probably thought it was.
6: the worst knows I am a mechanics-based player and would be able to deduce that I'd reach the conclusion I did off of mechanics, that with Pink Ball hard-cleared and roster hard-cleared and critically a Dannflor hardclear, there was an autowin in place due to two lynch candidates for two available lynches.
7: Pink Ball can be led astray; rosterfoster while on point isn't charismatic; Dannflor while he SHOULD be cleared can MAYBE be mislynched by those not realizing he's a fucking hard-clear; Chemist is the obvious mislynch. POE leaves us as the obvious kill.

Obviously, the worst didn't have all seven of these reasons, but I guarantee you at least one or two of them contributed to our death because, uh, yeah. We had every reason to die and I saw it coming from a mile away.

@mastina,
1 2 3 5ish and 7
your mechclear on dann was incorrect but I knew you'd be on point with any attempt to end the game via mechanics

your suspicions of me *sounded* like they were weak which was going to make you a really dumb NK for scum!me at a dayplay surface level

but you're right you were the obvious NK fmpov

re bussing or whatever - that lynch was going through. an attempt to steer it off during that phase and lynching myself would have been known to be a scum motivated move so basically by the time I had the decision in front of of me it was too late to making a meaningfully different decision imo.

Paps and I spoke a bit about both being super low on WIM (I hope she doesn't mind me sharing this) and we were basically trying to angle one last mislynch to get us both into 5p, or work out which one of us was better equipped.

I don't think I acted fast enough to be able to set that up better and without either of really having a lot of energy for scumming, I'm not sure how I could have reacted better in the moment. :( so sorry Paps, and sorry the rest of the team for letting you down.

also @cerb..... yup. you know me too well.

Yeah, tw, you did quite well. Forgetting about stuff happens.

I'm supposed to be really good at mechanics, and screwed us on them.

And yes, lurking is unfun and dumb in general. *shrug*

for what it's worth I play inexplicably better as scum here than on other sites, but play better as town on other sites than I do here.

major  :P it's a strange one, but I know what you mean.
I think your homesite is MU from memory, MU culture is definitely quite a lot different to MS. it might be a thread pacing thing or just the types of personalities who are around maybe? I think you'll get into the swing of it. I also think your play on MS is improving from what I've seen.

My homesite is ToS, but I play about the same on MU

ToS pacings are shorter than this, but my problem on this site seems to be that I have trouble staying focused on one thing that I'm working on

I'm probably going to take a break from mafia here until the end of the month because school, so that might help

You're not bad at mafia either. Like the only criticism I would do to your game is not using the PT we had on D1 to get townie to my eyes. I was right about Shii because of only one/two posts, that's how powerful PTs are.

Tbf to BE though, wasn’t that part of her role? See Roster, I can be extremely charitable. :)

Stop hiding behind this notion that people need to explain their scumreads more than they have - everybody has gone in depth on scumreads on the wagons in question.
