First Task Force Mission

1. All site-wide rules apply. If you need clarification, just ask.
   
2. All standard rules of Mafia apply here.

   • Don't talk about this game outside of the game thread. No talking about on-going games. Get that ingrained in your head.
   • No provable randomness.
   
4. If you die, that's it. No more posting unless your role explicitly allows it. You can do a 'bah' post.
   
5. Games can get heated. I get it. Try to keep it as civil as you can.
   
6. Don't quote anything from any private thread.
   
7. Do not encourage others to break rules. If you have any issues, please PM me.
   
8. I'll give out warnings first, but depending on the nature of the offense, I have the right to force-replace or modkill you if necessary.

4. Team Kira contains:

5. Team Kira has their own private thread that they can speak to at all points during the game. The

6. The game will be separated into phases, the
   Task Force Mission
   phase, the
   Pass/Veto
   phase, and the
   Success/Fail
   phase.
   
7. There will be
   5
   Task Force Mission
   phases, unless a team reaches their win condition prior to
   5
   Task Force Missions completed.
   
8. The
   Task Force Mission
   phase begins after everyone has received their Role PM.
   
9. A
   Player Order
   will be randomly selected, and whoever is on top will hold the
   Death Note
   first.
   • The holder of the
   Death Note
   will then choose players to "go" on the
   Task Force Mission
   .
   • This is where discussion in the game thread will begin. Players discuss which players should be put on the current
   Task Force Mission
   , and the holder of the
   Death Note
   will make the final decision. You will have
   5
   days for this phase.
   • Once the players are chosen, players will have
   3
   days to VOTE: Pass or VOTE: Veto to majority, where
   Pass
   will allow the mission to go through, and the next phase will start. A
   Veto
   will cause this mission to be rejected, and the
   Death Note
   will move to the next person in the
   Player Order
   , and they will choose players to "go" on the mission, followed by another
   Pass/Fail
   phase. If
   5
   missions are rejected, the mission will
   Fail
   automatically.
   
10. After a
    Task Force Mission
    has passed, the game thread will lock for up to
    48 hours
    (or until everyone who can send in an action accelerates it by choosing not to use action or sending their action).
    
11. This is the
    Succeed/Fail
    phase. If you are part of the
    Kira
    team, you will get to choose if you would like to
    Succeed
    or
    Fail
    .
    Task Force
    will automatically give a
    Succeed
    . The amount of each will be given at the start of the next
    Task Force Mission
    phase.
    
12. After the
    Succeed/Fail
    phase, the thread will stay locked for an additional
    24
    hours, and players will be given the option to use their actions. If everyone who can use an action sends me a message on whether they are using action or not, I will start early.
    
13. At the beginning of the next
    Task Force Mission
    the
    Death Note
    will move onto the next person on the
    Player Order
    , unless someone's ability changed it.
    
14. The game will continue like this until the
    Fourth Task Force Mission
    . At this phase, the holder of the
    Death Note
    , in addition to choosing the players for the
    Task Force Mission
    , you will have to give out
    Death Note(s)
    to players on the
    Task Force Mission
    .

• You are separate from the

thread, and they do not know you, but you know them. After the

, you may choose to kill one player. You will also die. Neither of you will flip. If that player is L, they will live, and you will die. You do not flip.

- Kira is given a Death Note on the Fourth or Fifth Task Force Mission
- you successfully write L's name in the Death Note

Honestly, have no clue about deadlines. I expect to just have phases go as long as they need to, so there probably won't be a lot of downtime.

Also, just VOTE: Player X to put the players you want on the mission when you are the Holder of the Death Note. Once the amount of players going on the mission are voted at the same time, the Pass/Veto phase will go through. You may UNVOTE: Player X, but once the correct amount is hit, that's considered a hammer.

yes, the death note holder nominates the team, and then we vote on if we like the team or not. if we don't, the Note goes to the next person in line.
and remember, even if we get through all three successful missions, Kira still wins if they guess who L is at the very end. so don't make it easier for them by hinting at your role and allowing them to PoE it out. we have to get three of the missions successful

hide L.
and also avoid passing a mission where Light holds the Death Note. that's another way to lose.
we also win if Matsuda shoots Kira, though. so if i'm understanding, both sides essentially have an auto-win that's possible to achieve even with mission successes/fails for their side.

I don’t think that’s the case. I think the Death Note thing is just flavour for whoever is the person that sends the people on a mission. I might be wrong though, we’ll wait for FL.

Resistance is by far my favourite game so I'm glad to have got into this game.
The main issue I find on Mafia games with these setups are getting past the first stages and try to get everyone to take their hands out of their pockets.

I think everyone should give an RVS list of the 3 players they want to send.

I suggest Insomnia, Chito and Yuuri, and Baezu.

It's mainly just for flavor. Holder of the Death Note is the person who gets to choose who goes on the missions. Writing the name in the Death Note comes at the end of the game for the <Kira> team only, and that's basically Avalon trying to guess the Merlin. Giving the Death Notes out is like giving the Chancellor out from Secret Hitler. So I definitely took from all Resistance/Avalon/Secret Hitler.

Chito: yeah now that I'm processing the setup task force nominations is the equivalent of rvs, except we're townhunting rather thanscumhunting. Setup is in the ballpark of coalition in that sense.

Since stk knows his own alignment he'll want to nominate himself right? I'd support stk, insomnia, and myself.
