Yeah, I didn’t know how to handle sub ins, because I couldn’t just say Gamma subbed in as soon as Annie Can started posting.

Probably won’t do another hidden alt game for years.

The hidden alt was rough but there is potential there. I don't think it's suited for large themes. Maybe open games.

Mystery at King' Landing was a good hidden alt game imo

Mathematically, it's no different, though. The targeted player still dies, as does one arbitrary player during the day.
It's always the same. When you fire that first shot, no matter how right you feel, you have no idea who's going to die. You don't know whose children are going to scream and burn. How many hearts will be broken. How many lives shattered. How much blood will spill, until everybody does what they're always going to have to do from the very beginning... SIT DOWN AND TALK!

The hidden alt mechanic, combined with the vague and menacing "you better not let scum figure out who you are," combined with the playerlist being known, was a terrible combination.

So...

I just went to check the Review PT for this on a different topic (Flavorwise, why each game was which, which doesn't matter all that much) and it turns out we did originally plan this as 12v3, expecting it to be slightly scumsided at those numbers (which was intentional, for all three games). I'm not sure how we rolled 4 scum, but the mistake is as much mine as Boon's. I apologize to the town for the unintentional handicap, but at this point, there's no real answer to 'fix' it.

Edit: I actually kind of know how we made the mistake. The review was half via PM and half via PT and Boon was having major RL shit and myself minor RL shit when the hydra game started. Not a great excuse, but the best I have.

So if scum guess wrong every night it's effectively mountainous.

11:4 mountainous.

Give me a break.
1- We already bus'd one of our own on D1
2- We NEVER guessed wrong at night
3- The Town Lynchee never did make the correct venge shot. and the town was given 2 shots at that as the game went
4- A third one was close enough, but instead YOU decided to gift us the game with the NoLynch vote

And you "forgot to post in this game" which confirmed it was you and we killed you.

I mean, I was serious when I said you guys helped a LOT. It's true we worked out asses in early game trying to figure out enough slots, but by D3 everybody and their neighbours were showering us with free gifts

We probably don't Lynch you there anyway and I wasn't getting anyone on my side to wagon Titus so it was like, us or Deb.

The difference is it'd have always been a TOWN KILL. It was a NEGATIVE UTILITY for the scum team to work around

It would have been more scumsided if you had, we got twice as many mislynches that way.

And I only voted no-lynch because I did the rough math and decided 11:4 was so scumsided it wasn't even worth playing. Even after hitting two scum our LYLO EV was 13%.

Well, at least you did NOT vote NoLynch, did you? We were still considering how to get a lynch and not get vengekilled for it, and someone decided to spare us all the trouble. Ya dig?

Yeah but a town kill still hits town a decent amount of the time...

The mods said the game was meant to be run at 12:3 and the fourth scum was an error. The math and the game back up that it was horribly scumsided. I'm not trying to weaken your achievement, I'm simply stating the facts.
