I'd like to take a moment to clarify to a few players in particular that my playstyle has now become considerably more efficient, in that I will still find scum for you but I'm not as likely to put in the effort to tell you why they are scum, and you shouldn't expect me to hyperpost like I used to. I have a job now and that means I have less time, but I still have the same number of things that get to conflict with me playing mafia. On an unrelated note, back to Baldur's gate.

This game should be a win if we just don't paranoia eliminate any of the hood members and just go for the scummy outsiders. That's the challenge here, scum will probably be trying all they can to suggest the non-town town alligned groups are evil 3P's that cannot be trusted as this is the only way for them to win.

Real setup spec shit is that this game is clearly all playing around with alignments and shit, which is kinda memed by the sample role PM in post 0. I remember seeing that at the start of the game and thinking it would be a challenge to design a game that could be usable in, let alone useful. But here we are.

I'd suggest that scum might have a scum that has a wincon aligned with king doris donatello's army, but is not a member of king doris donatello's army. Like, maybe king doris donatello. I bet he's not a member of his own army.

It's highly likely to be a trueclaim. Not necessarily town. I'm most concerned with how Chemist interacted with the April wagon given the Titus result. Chemist would have been the motion on Titus. This is considerably better info for things than the fairly arbitrary gossip thing. At the same time, I don't think Chemist's mechanics are the best and honestly it's probably not malicious. I think the way the claim has been handled is probably town indicative.

I would like some more details on the specifics of the role. Is there a reaction to each action targeting a player? Is the reaction a summation of all actions targeting a player, if more than 1 targets someone?

Correct. I was both Mastin and mastin2, tho notably, I have changed with time and each account was remarkably different in very very very major ways.

Notably: scumastina was an absolutely terrifyingly good scum player for years upon years. As mastin2 I was good, and when I switched to mastina, I was just as good if not better. Correct mechanical play with regard to lynches is always a bit of a strange one and I don[t think it needs to be entirely mechanical. Right now, I think you have a very strong grasp on the gamestate- certainly much stronger than mine at this time- and your thoughts are well reasoned. I think you're probably more likely to hit scum on your judgment here than we would be with a conventional lynch, quite frankly- assuming we explicitly ignored going for DDL. You also have sight of more of the mechanical pieces in play than I do, so I'd guess it's best to discuss that with Mastina in the hood rather than getting my opinion on that.

Now, the 'correct' theoretical play obviously changes because you're looking to keep that 3p group sweet with that whole lynch thing. Do they want you to keep DDL for them? If so, I'd say that's the correct play. That's the best compromise.
Technically you could capitulate even further, but that's a bad call- you see, if you took out Pickaxe Pete despite townreading him, with the intention of flipping him as town, it would make it more clear that DDL was scum. That, however, is stupid- this line of reasoning is more here to evidence that offering a likely scum as an option to the other 3p group rather than just lynching there is technically a concession in terms of optimal play for town.

I'm not really confident at all on Chemist's alignment here- if anything I would lean town there. I think Shelly was actually conftowned mechanically by the disloyal thing and don't think that should be disregarded as easily as it has been.

At this stage, I think the scumteam is most likely to be DDL, Taylor, DS, and one of TGP and S_S.
I think you should shoot DDL if the other 3Ps don't care if you leave DDL for them or not, and go with your gut otherwise. I'd feel better if your reads were aligned with mine, but my reads aren't even entirely aligned with mine right now so yours are probably more accurate.
