As a Raiders fan, I love seeing Gruden back on the sideline. Can realistically see anything from 6-10 to 11-5 this year from us depending on how quickly he adjusts.

Well loyalty doesn't mean you have to blindly root for the team closest to you.

I got my teams from an uncle I was close to while growing up. I've been fans of all of them for about as long as I can remember.

And fuck yeah I'm a Lakers fan. I live in Sacramento - what, am I supposed to root for the Kings?

I got a Raiders tattoo back in 2012 and the team went 4-12 the next season in response.

I've been a season ticket holder since I moved to Sac in 2016 and I've seen at least 1 game a year in person every year since 2010. (Seattle is a really cool place to watch a game btw). My blind loyalty to this team has broken my heart far more often than not.

I always wondered what it would be like to have a local team. I mean the city 5-10 minutes away recently got an AHL team and a pro indoor soccer team. But like a top level pro team....would be awesome.

It would probably be more interesting if the Kings were decent. Right now it just makes traffic absolute hell on game days, and the markups on Lakers tickets are ridiculous.

I was at the game when Carr broke his ankle. It was the 4th quarter, we were up double digits, everyone was feeling good.

Carr goes out, we still win the game for 1st place in the West, but I've never felt so empty after a loss... And I was there for the 2011 season finale vs San Diego and last year against Dallas - Carr fumbled about 10 yards in front of me.

Being there for the other moments though like last year's Thursday Night Heart Attack vs Kansas City makes it worth it though. Let me know if you make it to a game - I'll buy you a beer.

That game aged me 50 years and gave me 3 separate heart attacks. I don't think I'll ever see a game with a more incredible finish.

Trying to find some silver linings here, just bear with me.

- If you're going to ship your best player anywhere, send him to the NFC where you only have to see him once every 4 years.
- 3 first round picks next year has the potential to set this team up for consistent success for the foreseeable future.
- Mack's contract was gonna be (deservedly) massive, they can figure out more efficient ways to use that money.
- This is still first and foremost a Quarterback's league, and if Carr can go back to 2016 form this team can still win.

That's about all I've got... this sucks. This really fucking sucks. This is a game changing defensive player leaving the team, someone who the fans had rallied around and looked up to.

The pressure is on Gruden now. If he doesn't win fast, the fans are going to turn even faster.
