I don't think a guy thats prob gonna get suspended is an upgrade. Can't catch balls if you can't play. :/

I honestly don't get this Josh Gordon thing. What evidence is there that he can play beside 10 good games 5 years ago?
I mean, Josh Gordon's stats were better on a per game basis than Dez Bryant last season, despite having worse QBs, an 0-16 team and only playing 5 games.
Chloroform girl, how have you been?
Don't let me catch you sleeping again
You're only alive because I like you
It's been three years since you've seen the sunlight
But I know you're having fun
Bound, gagged and chained up in my basement

But Dez will at least be on the field...complaining..trying to get PI calls. It's not a complete negative.
Yay there are two sides to mediocre. The good side and the bad side. There are two QBs that come to mind in terms of descent QB vs replaceable QB. I am referring to Alex Smith and Andy Dalton. Though both have gotten better in recent years, I think I'd still rather be compared to Alex Smith than Andy Dalton.

If there is a line between descent QB vs replaceable QB, I would put Smith at descent though he would likely be a bit above that now. I would put OLD Dalton at replaceable. And I would put Case Keenum directly at the border between them.

The worst acceptable starter has been dubbed "The Dalton Line" for a while now I think. Where like, if they're worse than Dalton they are not a long-term option, if they are better than him than they are.
And if you take this year's dvoa ranking and last year's ranking and average them out..he's basically still the line.
Honestly for me the biggest thing in a QB is consistency. Yeah, it's cool when a guy like Foles balls out and destroys a team, but it's hard to gameplan around "sometimes is literal garbage."
What makes Brady and Rodgers so great is that "good" is their floor (Brady's numbers in the loss to the Jags were still pretty good), but they can ball out and win games. Guys like Wilson and Stafford can ball out just as well, but holy shit their floors are dumpster fires. I prefer Bortles to those guys because he (at least in the past season) has shown that he'll never cost his team the game, which is basically cost of admission for being a QB for me (also why I'm high on Goff and especially Smith, in the grand scheme of things)

Yes I was referring to that, though as I am biased against bengals, I like to think he is below the line and Case Keenum is the line at the moment. After all I am sure Denver will replace Case once Denver finds a a good young alternative. Until then, I don't see Case being a problem for them since he seems able to keep the ship floating there

The problem is we have a historically bad O-Line and up until last year it was coached by atrocious O-line coach Tom Cable(who's now with the Raiders thank god). 5 CUT BLOCKS!!! But yeah, Wilson is fucking amazing.

Winning the superbowl and keeping the ship floating are two different things. Case kept the ship floating in Minnesota last year. He had good weapons (other pieces), but he did not win the superbowl or even get there. He did make a conference championship game. Smith also made an NFC championship. His SF came closer to beating NYG than MIN did to PHI. You know who has never gotten to a conference championship or even won a playoff game? Andy Dalton

I remember the days when Alex Smith was labeled a bust
