Actually they don't hurt if they're in far enough (I can go much further here to gross out the guys, but I will restrain myself). Anybody needing further instructions feel free to PM me.
Plus, you can swim with tampons.
You know in middle school we use to sneak inside the school during lunch recess and make prank phone calls to the tampax hotline. It was really fun.

I think the only person who hates my period as much as I do is my BOYFRIEND. Since I can get CRAZZZZZZZZZY
Odds are that you only do because you believe you will. Most women don't actually get PMS; they're just conditioned to expect it.
Actually I do get PMS. I know what you are saying and it is definitely true in many instances. However, when its almost time for my period, my emotions DO get out of hand. I'm usually much calmer during my period than right before my period. Its not just that I get depressed or angry, I also can get really excitedly happy, among other things.
I have been working towards controlling it though. Its not as if I try to use PMS as an excuse for my actions. Whenever I realize whats going on, I try to keep on my toes, and try to figure out why I feel the way I do about certain things so that I don't blow up and I don't go on emotional rampages. I can't always control it, but I definitely try to...
Look, I know that nobody likes to be told that something is "in their head", and I obviously can't say with certainly whether your symptoms are "imagined" (and I realise they obviously wouldn't feel "imagined" to you), but the fact that you only list the signs of PMS that are most played up in our cultural (the emotional ones) is a bit telling.
I don't mean to start an argument about it, and if you feel sure that your symptoms are not psychological, that's fine. It's just that it's a very human thing to think that it might be in other people's heads, but it's real for you, and it's important to recognise the fallibility of the brain.
More people are self-conscious about their dandruff than actually have dandruff, after all.
Are you trying to start a fight or something?
Maybe she sites the symptoms most commonly publicized because they are actually common to women.
I don't think most women ever have PMS that causes them to commit murder or anything very serious, but I believe it exists.
Please comment again when you have a uterus.

Sarc trying to comment on PMS is like me trying to tell you it shouldn't hurt if you get kicked in the balls. And if it does, it's probably in your head. Unless you have done a medical study on women and PMS, then you know nothing because you can't even comment from personal experience since you DONT HAVE A UTERUS.
I agree that the brain is a weird place and can influence your body enormously. Stress can actually make you sick. So, yes, I do agree PMS can be in some women's heads. But I never hear that argument when people talk about getting the flu. "You're probably puking because you got so grossed out other people were puking." Which is entirely possible. You can feel sick after watching others get sick. But nobody ever tells you it may be in your head.
So even though Sarc was trying to be sensitive to women, he was actually reinforcing the stereotype that women are crazy/emotional.
I mean. Okay. We may be crazy and emotional. But so are men.

And if he has a large experience of relating too or living with women?
Oh and ladies, I have a question how common is syncing with people you live with, and is there a general time frame for it(occurs over x cycles or sommat)?
I didn't realize Sarcastro had experience with women
Syncing is common. Timeframe varies. For instance, mine is already synced with Brandi.

BTW... I am surprised and impressed that the guys aren't vomitting from this thread. My brother thinks all women should be locked in longhouses for the duration of their period (like the native americans used to do).
Basically, the guys here are awesome and make me laugh.

I think libido does peak during ovulation...
I will occassionally get really sensitive nipples during my period. Not all the time for some reason. And they hurt. I remember I even iced them down one time. So that's a concern.
Cramps can make you not feel like having sex. So I understand how some women feel. Sometimes cramps make you feel like you want to die... so you're not in the mood for sex. But, ironically, orgasm helps cramps feel better.

you just missed me. Do you like the idea common in many pre-modern societies where women would go off to their special place for one week out of each month? I sure do. Sacred feminine space is divine.

Also, just wondering... but I thought you didn't get your period while breast feeding?
Am I on crack?
You are on crack. Most women get the flow back after about 6-8 weeks after giving birth. I'm on week 9 now.
Interesting
My sister was breastfeeding until her daughter was saying "Other boob now" to switch sides. Sort of creepy, but she did speak very young...
Lets see now looking at what you wrote here:
PMS, Cramps, Bloating (mafia roles)
Gynocologist (cop)
Mydol (doc)
Tampon (RB)
Pantyliner (backup role)
Yeast infection (SK)
Monistat (Psychologist that heals SK)
mafia roles look good. Each one could have a weird kill ability.
PMS make you go crazy and moody. I could see PMS as more of a vig then mafia. You know I'm so mad I need to kill someone type PMS.
The townie types would have to be the things that make you feel better when on your period. cholote, ice cream, best friend support and ect.
These are good suggestions. There's so much I want to include, but I think they can definitely be included as means of killing or something to add ambiance.
I was thinking to allow guys to join as long as they agree to change their avatar sex for the duration of the game.
I want to call it WOMAFIA.

It can be a pain for the mod to find new players, but I think if I kept a replacement list from the beginning and informed the players they had a good chance of getting into the game, it could go smoothly.

About the guys --
I would like it if guys want to play. I'm not going to keep them out. I was thinking to make them change their gender icon for the duration of the game though. Is that too mean?

Well, I guess I continue to be synced with shaft.ed's wife.
The women in the tv show were pretty dumb. One woman thought she was going through menopause and that's why she didn't question her period being gone. Another woman thought she was just stressed out, so accepted that as the reason for no period. Plus they were all pretty heavy so I guess they didn't notice the weight gain or something?? I still think you would notice no matter what you weigh. And couldn't they feel the baby moving around in there?? What did they think was happening?
shaft.ed wrote:What do these women masturbate with?
They did not cover that in the tv show. It was not hbo.

WOMAFIA MINI
Almost up on the mini queue.
I have FaerieLord and Farside as pre-in because they pm'ed me.
I think other people posted in thread that they wanted a pre-in.
If you still want to pre-in, pm me!
Now is your chance to live in the world of womafia, a magical place where tampons are served on a silver platter by the likes of Oman, where you can watch Patrick Swayze in "Dirty Dancing" over and over again, and we only use high-heeled shoes to murder each other. Heaven!

That's so stupid. Maybe every female should be required to get pregnant every time she ovulates, because if she doesn't she is wasting an egg. And that could maybe turn into a person one day! So every time she ovulates and doesn't have sex, she is killing future people!!!!!111

And what about all the eggs that go unused? They must be cultivated and... oh wait, never mind, that would be messing in "God's Domain".
Also, Shaft.ed, the chart in that article about types of contraception use was interesting, if only to make my wonder whether vasectomy counts after the initial investment as use.
I was more curious why they included "withdrawl" as a form of contraception.
That made me lol.
