I just went down a 3 hour rabbit hole and decided not to go with my personal favourite from this band but one I think will have greater reach in the contest.

I appreciate that Vi, but I think you forget about historical nations, which is likely where I will return.

For instance, The Roman Empire, Athens, Burgundy. Which would you accept?

This is more out of curiosity as I will likely do it regardless. I just would love to know

i'm confused how can it both not matter but also you're really passionate about being able to enter fake countries

I mean I ain't bothered I'm just gonna keep entering the same country anyway tbh so song contest person just do what you'd prefer, I just don't really get why you're so invested in the most inconsequential part of the contest I guess. But then by taking this stance does it mean I care too much too? Wild how that is tbh. I think this entire post basically cancels itself out idk what my purpose in life is anymore help me

MS Song Contest is the purpose of life, therefore we must care about the seemingly inconsequential features in order to ensure we retain a passion for those parts of greater consequence!

Although really my only investment in this whole debate is that I want to enter under historical nations and empires. I don't actually care that much, but I would enjoy it

the regulars know most of the players because they're the ones boring enough to stick to one country, which is a problem with the players and not the concept

I've been in like 20 contests now and I still have no clue who is which country for the most part, with a few acceptions. And even if I did, I'm judging by the song not the player entering it because that's the point of the thing?

Iunno I am way more in the camp of "who cares" within reaaon. If an argument can be made for nationhood...nationdom?? W/e. Then I think it's fine.

Also I would like to propose a rule to prevent identity-guessing: Players may not choose the same country they applied as in the previous 5 contests.

this rule would get me to quit the song contest permanently so i'm 100% in favor of it

I'm going to have to set a day aside to do this methinks.

So many songs, I'm very excited for it!

Oh, and @Equinox, when I do listen to the songs, ai always open every song simultaneously in new tabs, with 2-3 MS tabs open, the survey tab open, facebook open, and usually other youtube videos loaded as well so I can take breaks from the focus of listening to everything without having to move from my chair and potentially lise my comfort spot!

I thought you'd enjoy a bit of a puzzlement at my computing capabilities XD

I have a window with all the tabs open and a writeup started from sometime this week, I just got overwhelmed and couldn't allot the required time for 32 entries.

Really sorry guys! It doesn't look like my votes would have made much of a difference tho! What a landslide!

Taking a break from this again for a bit. I love these contests but if ya can't ya can't.
