I should be voting for a date soon... Gotta check other summer plans. I don't think I have a strong preference towards any one date, though.

Any of the dates seem to work equally well for me.

So there's not really any correlation in the voting for when we can do this. Can we compile a chart of when attendees
can't
make it? Also, it'd be good to know how likely those people are to attend.

Can we also get an attendee list?

I wish I could change mine.

I just found out I'm supposed to be housesitting for a week and a half during the first week of August. Any way you can delete my first Doodle vote?

Aug 14 is looking like the best weekend based on 9 entries. The end of the month looks like the worst.

I'm in there twice, cause I don't have a login to delete my first entry :(

There are only two people who can't make the 21st: someone who also can't make the 14th, and Llama, who is ~80% anyway. Later is better for hosting, especially now that my circumstances have changed. Let's pencil it in for the weekend of the 21st.

How many of those attending will get motel rooms? Will any of you have extra space in them? Who's chipping in on the guest suite? I can get prices on the nearest motels if people are interested.
ani wrote:MBWC (Mafia By West Coast)?
Meh.
*pencils the date in*

As far as guest suite or motel rooms, what I do/where I stay will depend on what else I plan to do while I'm in Oregon, so I won't commit to anything right now, but I should be able to contribute. How much is the guest suite and how many people can it house?

EDIT: I also plan on bringing a tent :)

Guerrilla camping is what I had in mind. I won't be poor this summer, though, so helping out with cost won't be an issue. And I'm willing to sleep on the floor if necessary, but that can all be figured as we go. The camping is just something I'd be interested in doing for fun.

$60 for four people per night is a pretty good deal. I approve :)

I don't know about others, but I'm interested in the hiking and coast of Oregon. I will be seeing much of the area in about 2 weeks, though. But I'll always be up for more if enough people want to go for a hike or to the beach.

The last meetup I went to, we also had a massive onslaught on the local theater to see a big movie. That might be an option for us.

Steakhouse? What kind of cheap joints are you trying to get us into?

I want gourmet sushi freshly imported day of from Japan and prepared in front of me by a professional gourmet chef.

But how can you beat a game of mafia while white water rafting?

Lynch a player.
Throw him/her off the raft.
Nightkill a player.
Off the raft.

I am back from my trip to Oregon and back, and got to see some cool stuff.

Menu items:
I can cook most any pasta or lasagna. I make a good pasta salad :)
With access to a decent size grill, I could grill us some chicken, potatoes, corn, garlic bread, etc. I have two small portable grills I could bring, but with high attendance, bigger grills are ideal. For a group of 15 friends, I spent about $50 to feed people grilled artichoke, carne asada, pasta salad, and garlic bread.

Games:
Betrayal at House on the Hill
Bang!
Settlers of Catan (& Expansion)
Fluxx
many many more. I have a boardgamegeek account under Dolus (if not that, then ImDolus or DolusDeceit).

I have the game and expansion for settlers, C&K, and Seafarers. I have been thinking about getting Traders & Barbarians or w/e it's called. So for any version 3-6 players following the rules, or modified rules to do more/less. (Team-based if we have more, or just multiple game sessions).

I'm not interested at all in Karaoke and I don't drink. But I expect the Aquavit will be much accepted by many others. I wouldn't mind if a lot of other people wanted Karaoke. If the movie is related to mafia, I might be interested in seeing it. :)

I agree that I'd be more focused on conversation and gaming, but I think it's good to bring movies.

I may be able to give a couple rides along the way. I'm most likely driving north up the I-5 to Portland from Central California.

This reminds me, I've been forgetting to ask. How is parking going to look? Last time I was in Wilsonville, I rented a room at the Super 8 and they took my license plate number to know I was a guest and not tow me away.
