I think I would have given you a run for your money.

My favoritest draft ever was a Betrayers of Kamigawa draft where I drafted 7 (!) Raving Oni-Slaves (the 3/3 guy for 1B that hits you for 3 when he leaves play and enters play). Sure, it hurt playing him, but not many decks could handle 3 3/3 guys beating them in the head on turn 4.

My favorite draft was in an Onslaught block where I drafted red/white: 3 shocks, Exhalted Angel, 2 whatever the red storm direct damage card was (Torrent of Fire?) and a bunch of dinky one-two mana creatures.

I went 4-0 and ended up getting a foil Willbender or something like that. I was proud.

Holy crud. Your fellow drafters deserve to be shot. 3 Shocks? Nice.

When your first four cards come out, Exhalted, Shock, Shock, Shock, you're in good shape. Also, in the middle of the pack, I got an Erratic Explosion, too

Chicago is about 5 hours from my house -- I'm only an hour and a half east of Minneapolis/St. Paul.
