What's a good desktop computer brand?

And I have no idea if it's a good one or how to do much with it. It's the first one I've owned. I used to just post on here from my phone. It's an HP but that's all I know about it.

UPDATE JULY 2017: This thread is now about what brand desktop computer I should or shouldn't buy.

Oh yeah I get that if I left click start instead of right clicking it. It keeps messing me up when I try to shut it down

In post 25, Untrod Tripod wrote:the best way to cool down electronic equipment is with what is called a "water cooling system"

every time your laptop gets hot, submerge it in a filled bathtub (if you do this with bubbles, it doubles as cleaning!) for no less than 45 seconds
Instructions not clear. Got dick stuck in vacuum cleaner.

So that laptop lasted me about 3 months which means I've been a phone poster again for the last three years. But I think I'm ready to get a desktop computer now. Anyone got reccomendations for brands or for which ones to stay away from? I'm ok with basic because it's going to basically just be for facebook, mafiascum, and maybe like pogo.com or something. And some kind of music site (or just youtube?). So any kind of gaming or anything I don't need. But I don't want a piece of garbage I need to replace in a few years either. Also, please be easy on the tech lingo or I probably won't know what you're saying. Thanks in advance.
