You can download 10 for free when it comes out (I plan on doing it as I have the same offer with my OS) but you can choose when to (or even if) you want to install it.

Grab it, watch the boards and user feedback for a few weeks and then decide if you want to install it. That is what I plan on doing.

From what little I've read, Win 10 is SUPPOSED to consolidate all Microsoft and Microsoft Compatible products under the same OS. Computers, tablets, mobile and XBox (good chance I missed a thing or two in there).

I'm of the opinion that Juls may actually be onto something here. Trying to integrate all those is probably going to create some weirdness and epic fails right out of the gate because we know that Microsoft ALWAYS exhaustively test their new stuff before releasing it to the public, right?

"Alpha test? Beta test? We don't need no steeking tests. It compiled, release it."

Limited time free upgrade to owners of Windows 8 and Windows 7. Although I think there are some restrictions to Windows 7. Like you have to have the 64-bit Home Premium version or above to qualify. Not 100% sure of that though.

[Add-on Edit]Here are the particulars:

But then that means no internet porn.

Besides, I have got used Viagra e-mails and pop-up saying that there are millions of 22 year old women that just CAN'T WAIT to meet a mostly toothless, 50 year old redneck that lives 50 miles from anything but a post Office. I don't think I'd be happy without them anymore.

A good anti-virus would stop those.
