Of social networking. "What are you doing?" doesn't answer questions like "Why?" or "With whom?"

If I'm going to find out what my friends are up to, I don't want random factoids. My friends are all interesting people who are completely unlike me, and I like studying them for the sake of figuring out how to become a better person by their standards.

Good social networking will associate a why with the what - it's what makes us understand each other as humans.
