My last job aged my body 20 years in only a year and a half. My current job has aged my mind 20 years in just over 3 years. I'm basically a 46 year old person who has only lived for 26 years. People older than me roll their eyes but let's be honest I'm not living for 50 years. I'm at a job where anyone can work 25 years and retire. I started at 23 years old. I'm not gonna live long enough to retire. Isn't that depressing? Yet I throw 20% of my paycheck at a retirement plan because all of the experts say I have to because I started young.
