Yes, blackhawk, but the hard thing to do is getting up there without spamming. I probably would have 20 or 30 posts less than I have now if I didn't spam at all. And by spam I mean posting in meaningless threads (ie: this one) but being in lots of games at the same time and being loud in them helps a lot.

Hear hear! Enthusiasm and conversation are great, but many of the threads on here are starting to get a bit cluttered with meaningless one-liners.

Translation: A player's post count really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things. A player's ability to play Mafia does.

I find the enthusiastic posting rather charming and really enjoy the newbies who dive right in and aren't too timid to say "hey! listen to/look at me!" My tendency in new situations is to hang back a bit until I know everyone...maybe that's why I admire it so much. I hope that mafiascum will be a place where people can come right in, feel welcome, and just say what's on their minds. I can't think of an online group with whom I'd rather be.

But I do agree with Dourgrim that post counts don't mean a thing!

Ahhh, I didn't mean to sound like newbies should be "seen and not heard" or anything silly like that, if that's how I came off. I was referring more to some of the utilitarian threads (signup threads, the Vacation thread, etc).

But I'll certainly say this, though: I'd rather have enthusiasm like that in my games than people who "forget about the game" or refuse to post.
