I have already played about 25+ online games of Werewolf (and maybe even more, I'm not sure). But there are some huge differences between those two games so let's figur out how mafia games will be. Looking forward to have some nice games
We only played german-speaking games and I'm not that familiar with writing english so I write very slow and maybe make some mistakes. I'm sorry about that and hope I'll get better soon.
Other than mafia I realy like playing Magic the Gathering and board games. Sometimes I also play the piano (or other instruments, but not quite often).

I made an account here months ago and never used it for anything other than reading some of the mafia games without intent of ever playing. Now I've decided to actually give it a go!
I started playing FM on the ToS forums early last year, played around 20 games. I guess I’m considered a “decent” player there but don’t expect too much, ToS standards are lower than here from what I’ve seen so far. Hopefully I can have fun here and improve my gameplay; I’m always hoping to learn and get better!
I joined because my home forum of many years appears to finally be on its last legs. I love playing and hosting mafia, and I'm very excited to learn new things about the game from a dedicated playerbase.
So I'm new to the site and forum mafia in general although i've played different formats of mafia for.....4-5? years now.
Let me take you back to the forgotten time of 2013. Twitch is starting to get its legs under it. I browse the platform on my Xbox one night after a long day of pounding nails into roofs in the baking sun. Mindlessly I skip over the games until I find one interesting enough for a peak, "Mafia". Thinking this was the console version, which i remember fondly playing through gangland style missions with my brother, I click ready to drift off to nostalgia. Instead i'm met with 10 or so people on webcam slinging accusations back and forth, pointing fingers and blame. Weird....but kind of entertaining. I went on watching these streams for a week or so and after getting the hang of the rules and such decided I'd give it a try. So twice a week i would play mafia via cam on skype with a pretty sizable group. And that's how my Mafia crush got started.
Pope Stottle was the streamer if anyone's interested but I doubt that rings bells for anyone. We also used to mix games with Koibu who occasionally streamed mafia games among other things, like DnD with ItmeJP. And just for the sake of name dropping (because cmon, gotta love self ego strokes) Trump would play with us from time to time. To be fair I had no idea who he was at the time, Hearthstone was still closed beta I believe? Mango from Smash as well, great guys all solid mafia players.
Since I've played on and off at EM and ToS which are fun in their own right. Role flips are still kind of weird to me but its good for town I guess. What about us Maf scum though? I've skimmed through a couple hundred pages on my downtime at work and the game style here is pretty interesting, more in depth and slower paced which I think is pretty nice.
I'm not really a very experienced player in Mafia, but I can moderate pretty well. I fell in love with Mafia through Discord and is an avid fan of Resistance. I played a couple of games here and there, most in Discord, but sometimes in real life.
I am a casual Mafia player. I'm not really that experienced, I dabble in the mafias here and there, and I would love to learn and make my strategy to be good at the game by pros. But, I feel like the 14 day for every in game day is too long, but that's just me as the games I play usually last an hour.
I am also an avid fan of shows like Survivor and Big Brother cause you get to see which strats are great, and which suck and it's constantly evolving season after season.

marathon is just about to start which has v fast paced games that you might be more used to, check out the marathon forum for more info
and if you like survivor definitely look at the large social games forum where its basically a bunch of people fanboying over survivor constantly
You know, I don't think I ever posted here when I was new.
I was introduced to Mafia in my callow youth when mith brought it to my old bulletin board of choice in 2001 or so. Hadn't played in years and years, wanted to play again, and recalled that at some point mith had gone ahead and made a site exclusively for Mafia. So I showed up here in 2015 with my old username and everything. (Then I changed it because I realized everyone was sick of typing the umlauts, even me.)
I'm not sure I'm any better at the game than I was when I first got here.

I haven't played Mafia since I was middle school, which was like, sixteen years ago. And that was in meatspace. But you seem like you have a cool site here, so I thought I'd hang out a while!
So, I love both playing and moderating games of mafia/werewolf, I meet with a group IRL regularly to play and I play in a group on Facebook quite a bit and I’ve tried sites like EM, decided to join this site to carry on my mafia fun
As my name suggests one of my favourite things is creating interesting games, in my Facebook group I tend to create very interesting games with new mechanics and fun twists, so look out for when I start modding haha
