My problem appears to be losing interest very quickly (usually occurs when there's massive walls of posts) and not expressing myself very well. I tried to solve it by playing one game at once - my activity got much better but there's still something not quite right :/

If your interest in the game is defeated by the task of reading and responding to large posts then I'd say that maybe Mafia isn't the game necessarily for you. And that's not meant in a judgemental way. Reality is there are always going to be a range of playstyles people employ that will be different from your chosen style. If you can't adapt to those styles it will always be an issue.

I think it's more to do with getting disheartened because I can't influence people as town. I know what I want to say, but it doesn't come out right. I can read through whole games and find nothing scummy on anyone. I find it much easier to play with less players and more information, hence my enjoyment for replacing in later on in games - and probably why I don't lurk and do pretty well in newbie games.

Practice.

PLUS.. carefully constructed breadcrumbs laid very early on.
I find putting that extra amount of thought about my plan if I need to claim.. it gets my head right.

Plus just getting over getting lynched.
I used to worry about it a lot early on.. and I was really self-conscious about my posts.. but then I got pretty good at avoiding my own lynch (regardless of role), and it built up some confidence that I could be pretty free-wheeling early on without any real worries of getting hung.

I literally predicted Creeps or Hermie would be lynched D1 cuz of who they were. Also kept Hermie alive because he's easy to manipulate.

Also with Hermie, what do you think would have happened if Hermie didn't give the cop shot and a neighborizer to two scums? :p

Woops, didn't make that clear and guess you don't remember but this is 1/3 hydra head of Blawb who took over Blawb after D1 cuz my partners flaked.


Camn, you literally did a fantastic job, I never disagreed with any of your town plays at all and PLEASE don't blame yourself for the end results, I was widely town read and "lyncher" is my favorite role, Hermie giving me the cop shot in my hands ended the game as soon as I received it.

The real reason town lost is because of the Apathy of many players, the one that actually pissed me off was 1SVT who begged to be vigged as PR.

You, CKD, UA, Dunn, and Twist were A+ townies that game, carried the most weight that game.

AGAIN, that game was not your fault, blame those that got Mislynched, look at why they got mislynched:
1. Creeps(lied blatantly)
2. Creature(You did a great job of getting lurkers/scum dead)
3. SAJ(Apathy, didn't care that much and didn't contribute)
4. RM(lurker lynch)
5. Froot (guilty/scummiest defense ever)

Only one that was really legit battle was against Froot but it was won easy because people were getting tired of it.

Can't say it enough, you were a really good townie that game

"trust" in mafia is so much fun.

I do have to ask as a review, how'd I do? :p This is my 3rd scum game, and is my first game on this site and first win as scum. I LOVE to improve and criticism is my favorite discussion.

The one moment where CKD almost ended the game was when he called Pine out and caught wind of him. He never would have let go and would have gotten Pine lynched IMO.
