Sounds like a guilty pleasure anime I'd have to hide from the world

Speaking of which, I think I like "My roommate is a cat". Its wholesome.

It's very good, yes.

On egao no daika, it's a lot less guilty pleasure-y than my summation makes it seem.

Oh no I'm sure it's got like plot and ~depth~ and all, I'm not trying to criticize something I've never even seen/heard of. I just mean it sounds like a show that I'd be watching and being super into, and if someone walked in on it they'd be like "....Soooo its lesbian mecha: the show?" And I'd feel embarrassed about it.

Also I got deja vu have we had this conversation before?

I have never watched a lesbian mecha show before. Also..it's more speculation of lesbian mecha at this point, I wasn't trying to defend it's plot or ~depth~, I was trying to rein in the imagination of what "lesbian mecha: the show" entails(i.e don't go in thinking it's Citrus with robots). I highly doubt, at least at this point, that anyone walking in while you watch this show would think it was anything of then mediocre CG, mecha "war is bad" show. The girls haven't even met yet, but I'm going off the synopsis and a quick still from the op.

That's a bland description but there it is

yup pretty much
that's a good set of starting recs and I'll check those out later today
PEdit: well Netflix is just general streaming, I'd figure a dedicated anime streaming service would have it broken down by genre
btw, what's a good way for a broke person like me to read a light novel? I'm interested in Unlimited Fafnir and a query on the anime subreddit told me the light novel is the best way to experience it.

Gamma for some reason I thought you were closer to my age, I'm sorry for mentally comparing you to an old ass man

Anyway Aggretsuko is about a disillusioned 25 year old office worker accountant lady who takes out her suppressed rage via death metal karaoke, so I think it's more a matter of "do you identify with being a spiritually lost cog in the capitalist machine and/or do you like being an angery boi"
