I love TV shows, perhaps too much.

Right now I'm rewatching Futurama from the beginning, that should be entertaining. I'm also in the middle of Carnivale and just finished Weeds. Oh my god, that show.

Other shows I've recently watched through:

Community
Parks and Rec
Dexter
Fringe

Shows I watch in general:

House
Burn Notice
Psych
Family Guy
American Dad
30 Rock
HIMYM

Shows they shouldn't have cancelled:

V
FlashForward
Heroes

*note, I don't actually own a television. How about you guys? What shows are you into?
Engineers accepted the word “planetary” in its epicyclic sense, but I was always conscious that it also meant “wandering,” “erratic.”

Compassion, Common Sense, and Context should always go together.

heroes became a complete and utter trainwreck after season 2, it pains me almost as much as it does you but it did really need to be put down

the only shows i'm really religiously into atm are supernatural and the good wife, used to be really into dexter but kind of drifted away in season 3. i do try to catch burn notice whenever it's on though

Community is fantastic. I've been spamming the forums about it for like two years now. Amazing show.

I agree with Dexter. Parks & Rec is too "Oh it's The Office! With a chick!" for me and I can't actually say I've laughed at it, though I do love Aziz Ansari.

Fringe, I fell off around the end of S2, but it was good while I watched it. I just got too busy to keep up.

FlashForward was bad. Really bad. They tried way too hard.
Heroes wasn't good past the first season. It was such a trainwreck.
V was alright. Wouldn't mind it sticking around.

Shows that REALLY shouldn't have been cancelled include Dollhouse, Firefly, and Arrested Development. Oh hey look ALL SHOWS ON FOX.

Burn Notice is... not very good. It's regurgitated formulaic crap. Then again, so is Psych, but at least I used to laugh at Psych (early season(s) mostly, new stuff is too hammy and over the top). Seriously, they had a perfectly good formula and they decided to muck it all up by trying to throw in these ridiculous melodramatic moments that don't fit the show's tone AT ALL.

I'm shamefully a Weeds fan. Well, I'm a proud S1-S3 Weeds fan. I begrudgingly stuck around for S4-S6, and now that S7 is going to be the last, I figure I might as well stick it out to the end.

Right now I'm forcing my boyfriend to watch through all of Breaking Bad. It's honestly the best show on television right now.

I watched The Walking Dead while it was on last season and while I enjoyed it and kept up with it, it certainly didn't hit the pitch-perfect quality of Breaking Bad & Mad Men.

Noraaaa (and anyone else interested): I am modding a game themed around Community, it is in the middle of the mini theme queue right now (and am in crazy mafia love with the roster of pre-ins, it should be a great game) happy to send you a PM when it nears the top of the queue.

/end shameless self promotion. Community is an amazing show.

I love Fringe. Its my favourite show as of just now. However Community which I just watched all 49 episodes in the last 4/5 days threatened to knock it off the top spot.

Ask and ye shall receive.

Allison Brie or Gillian Jacobs?

Joel McHale or Donald Glover?

Jim Rash or Chevy Chase?

Allison, Joel, and neither, respectively. :D

Or, on a more substantive note, do you think they will ever have a professor on the show who doesn't become an instant punchline?

Neither. Though if I was straight probably Allison.

Donglover.

Ewwwwww.

@DY: Probably not. Everyone on that show besides the study group is an instant-punchline. I loved Duncan being the Anthropology professor though, because his teaching style was perfect.

Entourage was good for like a few episodes then you realized "Oh shit, they're never going to actually develop any conflict or evolve these characters".

SYTYCD is not my cup of tea but I won't bash people who like it.

House... it's a guilty pleasure. I hate it on a deep level, but it's mindnumbingly good on a superficial level.

Futurama returns tonight!

Besides "Attack of the Killer App", which was fucking awful, the first half of the new season was totally a triumphant return to form after the fairly uneven movies, so I'm excited.
Only connect! That was the whole of her sermon. Only connect the prose and the passion, and both will be exalted, and human love will be seen at its height.

Futurama is awesome, new season was great (even Killer App).

Going to miss Human Target, though. That was a great show.

Community is an above average show. For some reason or another I was never able to watch it very much.

One problem that I find with 30-rock and P&R is that they both have one person that way outshines the rest. For example, if Aziz broke off and mad his own show I would watch it every time.

I actually just woke up from a dream about Abed from Community. We were filling pools and setting up slip n slides at his house, and there was a big FBI thing going on in the neighborhood that we were checking out (of course).

Funny thing is that the actor who plays Abed (a muslim) is actually Polish/Indian.

Can not wait for Fringe and House to come back. Lie to Me started off slow but I got into it later on, and now it doesn't look like it's coming back. Also I always keep up with Glee even though I hate it now. The last time I dedicated myself to a show completely was when I watched all 291 episodes of Dragon Ball Z over last summer. After finishing I watched half of Dragon Ball GT as well. Still intend to finish that. Before that I watched all 96(? 90-something) episodes of Code Lyoko, which was epic. I had only seen the first season before and it was even my favorite show then, even though a real plot didn't start anywhere until the second season.

Psych is the only one on your list that I watch regularly. Almost everything else I have watched random episodes, and they were all at least decent. Except Family guy.

I rarely watch television (too engrossed in my anime) but the rare times that I do I tend to enjoy NCIS, Supernatural (used to watch it religiously during S1-3, but stopped when I went away to college and never really picked it back up), and Mythbusters (which probably doesn't count). Franklin and Bash looks pretty good from the commercials, but I haven't actually gotten around to watching it yet.
