I still like
Under my Umbrella
and
11am
but Kuroi thinks they're some of the bad Incubus songs. :/

I can take it as heavy or as soft as they do, I just want a very good song
For songwriting I really like

The Warmth
In the Company of Wolves
Privilege
Aquarius Transmission
Thieves
Make Yourself
Are You In?
Here In My Room
Dig
Love In A Time Of Surveillance
Glitterbomb
Diamonds And Coal

Those are ok but I'd be inclined to agree. 11am is probably my favorite of those two, good chill morning joint song.

Oh Blood On The Ground is good too but not amazing songwriting. Fun lyrics though.

I'm going to listen to 2 of those and if I don't like them, I'm going to be hardpressed to listen to any Incubus in the future

let's hope I hit on a couple I really like, because I always need more new music in my life!

thanksmuch

ehh, just did The Warmth...just standard meh rock to me

trying company of wolves now...ohnoo, trying a different...umm...diamonds and coal, and then I'll try 11am

ehhh, pretty forgettable stuff, imo

like I've thought in the past when I've heard their stuff, not terrible, it's like easy-listening rock, can take it or leave it but I'm not going to seek it out for more, that's for sure

I think you'd be hard-pressed to classify them as easy-listening. Morning View and If Not Now, When?, maybe, but certainly not the majority of their LP output.

crank it up

an ~10min song that isn't a second too long

magicalstuff, this whole concert, really

That concert was pretty good. No Leaf Clover was awesome, always wished they'd have released a studio version.

"pretty good" he says!!!

pshah!

one of the best concerts of all fucking time

don't know why you'd want No Leaf Clover any other way either, and -human is fucking great heavyness too

I think the Live Shit Binge & Purge release was better in all ways but yeah S&M had some really awesome moments.

And let's face it Rude Awakening by Megadeth trumps either of those releases by virtue of literally being the better band.

that is also great, yes, but I like S&M more

that fucking 18 minute seek&destroy track from binge&purge...phewwwwww, it's a little hard to take

I have that "chest" with those shows on VHS tapes - damn, I wish I could send in a proofofpurchase and get it on DVD for free

-pedit- oh you're one of THOSE who thinks megadeth is a better band I SEE HOW IT IS

I still love you though

Very bored. Very very bored. Tempted to make a huge post (with the spoiler tags to shrink it) with a sentence or two reviewing most albums I have at some point.

Yeah I'm starting it now and will save it in drafts and add whenever I'm bored because fuckit why not it kills time

Then when it's done a huge post which no-one will ever read will appear

My tastes in music are all over the place
I like rock, vocaloid, pop, dance/electronic, metal, "emo" (which I don't really get but okay), and more
I have a Pandora station that I've been trying to make into my "mafia representation songs" station

How really awesome is Incubus live? That was, hands-down, the best music and light show I've ever seen. I was very impressed by the lighting designer's choreography, and Incubus just killed it. I was left in a state of euphoria by the time they closed with an Aqueous Transmission encore.

If they're coming near you, I highly recommend checking them out if you have even a passing interest in them.

Saturday Record Store pickups

The Stone Roses - The Stone Roses (reissue, new).
Tame Impala - Innerspeaker (reissue, "new"). "still in shrink". definitely not mint because there's fingerprints all over it, store tried pocketing an extra $20 from me claiming I handed them $40 and not $60. I bet they evade sales tax just to do this.)

Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited (reissue, new).
Yoko Ono / Plastic Ono Band - Plastic Ono Band (reissue, new). Found it under John Lennon and assumed it was that one but my app told me it was the Yoko Ono one. I bought it anyway to annoy my neighbours. To great success!
Paul McCartney - McCartney (original, used). Amazing copy for $9.
Paul McCartney / Wings - London Town (original, used). $6
Electric Light Orchestra - On the Third Day (original, used). $9
Electric Light Orchestra - A New World Record (original, used). $9
Electric Light Orchestra - Discovery (original, used). $6

Moral of the story: don't treat your customers like shit and they'll buy all your stuff.

My favourite vinyl record I own is ELO's Eldorado, with the vinyl being clear so the grooves provide interesting refraction patterns, it's so cool and a brilliant album musically too.

So sad the last one near me finally closed down.

Original owner passed a few months ago and it doesn't seem like anyone in the family wanted to carry it on.

It's going to take me awhile to collect all of ELO  I was hoping Out of the Blue was going to have a good 40th reissue, but it's going to be a picture disc.
