The Package Going Around

Inspired by this, scummers have taken it upon themselves to entertain each other by sending off letters and trinkets to each other in an otherwise pointless fashion. The concept has turned into sending a package of these things to various meets around the county, since as Spock would say, "it's only logical," with so many scummers in one place.

I'm also entertaining the notion of making a "headquarters" where people who don't want to pay for the postage to send an entire package around, but still want to contribute their wealth of knowledge to the package, they can send it to one place to be contributed accordingly. We'll see. For now, sign up if you actually want to get it!

I think I'm going to set some kind of record for the number of times this letter has been sent somewhere and then I've seen it again. I've seen it at MosFaire '07, SheaMeat, NC Commune, and now MosFaire '13, lol...

Could do what we've done on another forum where people send music discs to each other, so it's a surprise what comes on the disc. Might introduce people to new music, and is a good bit of fun. Obviously need to find out who is willing to post across countries with this stuff too so it can be arranged accordingly.

Yeah, we'll definitely make sure it gets there. We'll keep an eye out for dates of meets and make sure it can get sent to each one some how.

That would definitely be do-able, and pretty cheap, too. I coordinated an exchange like this my senior year of college, so I could get on board with figuring that out as a separate project from the package some time this week.
