WTF is going on around here?

Have I missed about a month of this site's development?

One second I'm on the site as normal. Next time I login, there's all sorts of new features, including quick reply.

Next thing I know it, there's a chat thing I never seen before and they appear to be playing a game of mafia on it. I would expect there to be a post about it in the forums.

What's going on? Maybe I'm developing acute amnesia...

Actually, you needed to go turn on all the options manually via the profiles page earlier.
Jeep figured he'd turn them all on at once so people could pick and choose what they wanted to have.

See? useful wasn't it? Brought 'em to your attention.

I hadn't been paying much attention to the news partly because you have to scroll down before you notice ther are new posts.

I'm just pissed off that I have been spending hours online (like today) and would have dearly loved to play a live game.

Chat was just implemented this morning (less than 4 horus ago, I think) so you haven't missed much. Chat will probably stick around, so join in anytime.

The online game was no good everyone thought I was CRAZY and lynched me twice when I was pointing the finger at Mafia the WHOLE time. But hey I'm not mad (

Oh but the downside to the chat mafia is that you can not go back so when I told people that stewie had roleclaimed and they did not see it then I could not go back and prove it which led to our loss.

Are you guys talking about the game I was maf w/ Stewie but had to leave. If so, I'm curious on the outcome. Also, I kinda like not being able to scroll up to see what everyone said; it's more like RL mafia that way.

Chatbox is neat, but I still prefer AIM, for two reasons.

1. What Yoko said
1a. Coolbot: In real life, you are 50 times more likely to remember if someone roleclaimed. Online, people are constantly claiming, and you can't hear their voices, just their text. You might think one person said something when it was another person. You wouldn't be likely to get your friends' voices confused.

2. You can invite people to play on AIM. When I go on 'scum, I check the chatbox, but there's been no more than 2 other people in there at one time. Ever. I'm not going to wait for 6 other people to show up, but on AIM I know who's on and can send a mass announcement saying "hey, anyone wanna play?"

some of us have firewalls that prevent us from using AIM.

Coolbot: yes, that's the game. DS replaced you and also left... and mathcam left for a while and was replaced by yoko. When Cam came back, he couldn't replace DS because he knew yoko's role. But anyways, we ended up lynching yoko and therefore winning.
