Yes, KoC, clearly my presence as an admin doing behind-the-scenes work to help out quadz is DIRECTLY related to what songs people choose to submit and overall contest quality!

This is one thing I do wish we could change, because pretty much everyone agrees that the deadlines are way too fucking long .

I have suggested shorter deadlines to quadz. The biggest thing is that it's a lot of work on our end at each phase of the contest, so I'd support something like:

- 1 week in between contests
- 1 week submission deadline
- 2 weeks for voting

That way we're hitting one contest each month. I'd be open to making that even shorter, but it would depend on a lot. I'm looking at options to code some of this to be automatic so there's less hours of bullshit involved.

also if there's a specific day of the week that's best for processing votes, you could turn voting deadline from two weeks to one week + whatever offset makes it end on the good day
