I will say you have to have exceedingly standard taste to have liked the last few contests. Like, that's not a bad thing, but those of us who's genres and tastes are more eclectic than 'electro-pop' or 'soft-spoken-indie-allstar', it kinda has been really really hard to survive.

Like, there is no way to say that without sounding pretentious when I don't mean it, but I just...don't really appreciate those styles of music much, and the sheer amount of it in the last three or so SCs has been awful(I unironically gave points to Cuba).

Personally, 99% of my joy from Song Contest comes from when people post their personal ratings before the votes come in and I see that people have said nice words about my song because it means we have something great in common

...but that doesn't mean there isn't the temptation.
