Also speaking of Star Wars I didn't actually see all the star wars movies until recent years as well. I had only seen the one with Anakin a dozen times and hated it. I had no idea for the longest time what happened to Darth Vader when he died :0

As with most movie adaptations of books, the movies had to leave out so much it really watered down the experience. The movies were pretty meh. The books were better. At least when I read them they were. That was a while ago.

I think the biggest issue 2009-2011 had was that while there are a large amount of very good players in that range, there also are quite a few people you could really hold against those years as well. More controversial years essentially than the earlier years like 2007 which is still around.
